    • A package for receiving a vial may include an inner portion folded into a first shape configured to receive the vial; an outer portion folded into a second shape configured to removably receive the first shape of the inner portion; and an identifying mark or label disposed on the inner portion and viewable when the inner portion is disposed within the outer portion. The inner portion may include top, bottom, and first and second side portions that define a first aperture configured to receive the vial, and a top flap securable to the top or first or second side portions so as to retain the vial within the first aperture. A second aperture defined in the top flap may permit access to contents of the vial without removing the vial from the inner portion, e.g., may have a diameter selected to permit the vial top to protrude therethrough.

    • The packed electric lamp has a back wall (11) with a first sleeve (25) comprising a base (20) and a first fixation wall (21) with an opening (22), and a second sleeve (35) comprising a top (30) and a second fixation wall (31) with an opening (32). Side walls (12, 13) are connected to the back wall (11) and fastened to the first and second sleeves (25, 35) by means of folded tongues (15, 16, respectively). The lamp (1) is held fixed in the openings (22, 32) with respective end portions (3, 5). The packaging (10) keeps the lamp securely fixed in place, while nevertheless the lamp is visible for the major part. The packaging (10) may be readily shaped from its blank and simultaneously made to hold the lamp.

    • This invention relates to a package which is suitable for the packaging of fragile articles such as electric light bulbs. The package is especially adapted for high speed packaging in that the package may be collapsed to a flat blank for shipping but may be quickly opened in such a manner that each of the opposing sidewalls (11, 13) of the package has a projecting tab (29, 30) extending inwardly therefrom so that the two tabs (29, 30) are joined together to form an integral strut and thus stabilize the two opposing sidewalls (11, 13) of the package. Because of the symmetry of the devices being packaged the projecting tabs must be symmetrically located in a central area of the sidewalls. It will be found that this invention will be applicable to high speed packaging of fragile articles in chipboard cartons which are capable of receiving at least two similar articles such as lamp bulbs.
