摘要： A beverage dispenser with a variable pressure regulator cap assembly that includes a high pressure cavity defined by a cap body. The high pressure cavity receives pressurized gas from a compressed gas reservoir. A low pressure cavity is connected to the high pressure cavity via a high pressure gas passageway. The low pressure cavity defines a low pressure gas passageway that penetrates the cap body. A piston seat is positioned on a high pressure cavity side of the high pressure gas passageway. A piston regulates introduction of the pressurized gas into the high pressure gas passageway. A diaphragm is positioned between an ambient pressure cavity and the low pressure cavity and translates the piston relative to the piston seat. A main spring is positioned between a diaphragm and a spring hat. Rotation of the drive screw translates the spring hat to affect compression of the main spring against the diaphragm.

摘要： The present invention concerns a beverage preparation machine (1) having a tank (2) for containing a food-grade fluid, said tank comprising: (i) a reservoir body with side, bottom and top walls, (ii) at least one filling opening, (iii) at least one dispensing opening comprising a dispensing valve for establishing a fluid connecting between said machine and said tank, said tank having a weight WE when less than 5% of its total volume is filled, and a weight WF when at least 5% of its total volume is filled with fluid, said valve being reciprocally movable between a first position where the tank has a weight WE and the valve is open and a second position where the tank has a weight WF and the valve is closed characterized in that said machine comprises a switch disposed in the vicinity of at least one wall of the tank (2), so that: - when the tank has a weight W F said tank is in a first position so that it contacts said switch, and - when the tank has a weight W E said tank is in a second position, away from said switch, said machine further comprising a user warning means that is actuated when the switch does not contact the tank wall so as to warn the user that the tank needs a refill.

The method further comprises the step of maintaining a first elevated pressure within the pressure chamber, which chamber acts on the collapsible beverage container for crumpling the collapsible beverage container at a container crumpling pressure and establishing a second elevated pressure, the first elevated pressure being equal to the sum of the second elevated pressure and the container crumpling pressure. The method still further comprises the step of operating the dispersing device from the non-beverage dispensing position to the beverage dispensing position.

摘要： A method for accessing and dispensing liquid from a multi-dose cartridge of the type having a vent/draw system is disclosed. The method employs using a cartridge interface system having a needle for accessing the cartridge. The needle is attached to a piston, which is in turn connected by means of a crank and linkage to a gear motor. This gear motor drives the piston, effecting the motion of the needle. The action of the gear motor is responsive to signals from various sensors, which permit a fully automated method of accessing and dispensing liquid. In the method, the cartridge is accessed when its presence is detected by the cartridge interface method. Liquid is dispensed continuously until the absence of liquid is detected, at which time the cartride is disabled by disengaging the vent/draw system and disconnecting the cartridge interface system from the cartridge.

摘要： A beverage dispenser has a tray assembly for holding at least three containers (14), each having a plurality of electrodes (60). An electrical system provides a voltage to one electrode in each container, and detects when the syrup is below a certain level. Each container (14) is in a refrigerated compartment (12) and has an opening (16) at the top aligned with an opening in the cabinet. A funnel (20) is provided in the opening (18) in the cabinet and extends into the container. The refrigerated compartment (12) also encloses a pump (23) for pumping syrup. The pump is partly controlled by circuitry on a circuit board (100) which is mounted within the cabinet. A removable metal plate (110) covers the cabinet in front of the circuit board. A transparent plastic shield (112) is provided intermediate the plate and the circuit board, so that a user can observe the circuit board when the plate is removed. The shield is waterproof to protect the circuit board from splashing liquids.
