    • The pool cover (10) is made of a multi-layer light weight construction having a transparent top layer (14) to permit sunlight to pass through, an opaque bottom layer (15) for absorbing sunlight passing through the transparent layer. In addition, a plurality of pockets (16) are formed in the opaque layer having air encapsulated therein. When in use, the opaque layer becomes heated by sunlight thereby transferring heat by contact to the body of the water in the pool while also blocking light from the body of water to inhibit algea growth. The heated trapped air also serves to conduct heat to the body of water while also acting as a thermal insulation barrier during non-daylight hours. The pool cover may also be turned upside down in use. In other embodiments, all layers may be opaque (Fig 3).

    • An assembly includes an inflatable, dome-like cover that is configured to rest atop an existing swimming pool. The cover has an inflatable portion that repels dirt, debris, water, and snow, preventing such debris from collecting thereon. The cover is produced from heavy duty, yet lightweight plastic or rubber material. The cover may sized and configured to fit a pool of any dimensions. Extending along a perimeter of the inflatable portion is a border about which openings are evenly spaced, through which tethers or cords may be tied for securing the assembly to the pool. At least one air valve is positioned proximal to the outer edge of the cover, enabling a user to inflate the assembly.

    • An inflatable cover assembly includes a tarp body having an integral bladder with an air chamber. A tube is coupled to the bladder. An air pump is coupled to the tube. The air pump inflates and deflates the bladder via air pumped through the tube. A water sensor is coupled to the tarp body. The water sensor detects the presence of water on the tarp body and generates an electrical signal indicating the presence of water on the tarp body. A controller is in communication with the water sensor and the air pump. In response to receiving the electrical signal from the water sensor, the controller causes the air pump to inflate the bladder.

    • A cover device for a swimming pool is disclosed that effectively keeps out debris including leaves, branches, or even small animals, and helps trap heat underneath the cover saving users the cost of a pool heater. The cover device comprises a flexible member that can be folded up for storage when deflated. Once the flexible member is substantially inflated, the exterior surface forms a generally convex shape which allows the flexible member to float on and cover substantially an entire surface of the swimming pool. The cover device further comprises a plurality of handles secured around a perimeter of the flexible member, and a skirt secured below the plurality of handles. The skirt is inflated and weighted, such that the skirt retains the flexible member on the surface of the swimming pool, sealing the swimming pool.

    • A floating modular cover for a water storage consisting of a plurality of modules in which each module includes a chamber defined by an upper surface and a lower surface there being openings in the upper surface to allow ingress of water into said chamber and openings in the upper surface to allow air to flow into and out of said chamber depending on the water level within said chamber to provide ballast for each module floats. The modules prevent water evaporation from the area covered and the shape and size is selected to ensure that the modules are stable in high wind conditions and don't form stacks.
