摘要： A bicycle lock which is adapted for fixedly mounting on a bicycle is the subject matter herein. The subject bicycle lock includes a housing, which has a shackle receptacle rotatably mounted therein. An elongated flexible shackle has one end fixed to the shackle receptacle, and the other releasably connectable to the housing. The flexible shackle is windable upon the shackle receptacle for storage in the housing. A ratchet wheel is fixed to the shackle receptacle for rotation therewith. A lock pin is connected to the other end of the flexible shackle, and is positionable in the housing. The lock pin has a dog, which is engageable with the ratchet wheel to limit rotation of the ratchet wheel and the shackle receptacle to one direction for winding the flexible shackle onto the receptacle. The dog is removable from the housing with the lock pin to allow the flexible shackle to be unloaded from the shackle receptacle. A lock is mounted in the housing, and is engageable with the lock pin to hold selectively the lock pin in the housing, with the dog in a position for engagement with the ratchet wheel.

摘要： An improved bicycle lock assembly is provided by which a bicycle can be readily attached to a post, or the like, so as to prevent theft. The lock assembly may be constructed of four interfitting plastic parts which form a manually operated rotor in a housing, and a clamp for mounting the housing to the frame of a bicycle. A retractable cable is coiled about the rotor. The cable may be pulled out from the housing and looped around the post and/or through the spokes of the wheel of the bicycle, and then padlocked to itself. When the cable is unlocked, it may be retracted into the housing by manually turning a knob which is integral with the rotor, and which protrudes through one side of the housing.

The locking device includes a member (20) which can be affixed to a wheel truck (14) of a skateboard (10), binding of a snowboard, or binding (104a, 104b) of a snow ski (102a, 102b), and includes a releasable cable (22) which can be wrapped around a fixed or stationary object. In one embodiment, the cable (22) can be extended and retracted from the body of the locking device so as to provide a suitable length of the cable (22). The cable (22) is normally retained in a flanged section (68) of the locking device, but can be released therefrom for attachment to the fixed or stationary object. Another embodiment includes a removable cable (74) and lock (72), and a further embodiment provides a relatively simple locking bracket (62) between the wheel truck (14) and board of a skateboard (10) and which can be used with a separate cable (22) and lock (24).

摘要： A lock for a bicycle or the like comprises a first fixed casing member (111) which is adapted to be secured to the frame member of a bicycle or the like and a second casing member (121) which is movable relative to the first casing member. The first casing member (111) is cup-shaped and is provided with frame mounting means (112) on the outer surface of the cup wall. A raised boss (119) extends from the base of the cup-shaped member (111). The second casing member (121) is adapted to fit into the first casing member and to engage with the boss (119) in such a manner that the second member (121) is rotatable with respect to the first member (111). One end of a wire or cable (142) is secured to the second casing member and the wire or cable is wound around the periphery of the second member (121). The other end of the wire or cable (142) extends through a slot (145) in the side wall of the first casing member (111). A lock (152) is provided with which the other end of the wire or cable (142) is engageable and a coil spring (136) is arranged to act on the second casing member (121) to cause it to rotate with respect to the first casing member to draw the wire or cable into the first casing member by being wound around the periphery of the second casing member as the latter is rotated by the coil spring. Visual and audible alarm means are desirably provided which are arranged to be activated if the wire or cable is pulled or cut.
