    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable reaming tool, though the reaming tool is charged by a load not smaller than a conventional value due to change of work material quality and increase of fineness and accuracy of machining and welding of chips to the tool decreases the reliability of the tool.
      SOLUTION: In this high-precision and high-toughness reamer, a physical and/or physicochemical impact is applied to a part or the whole of the surface of the reamer manufactured by grinding or cutting, thereby adding further compressive residual stress to the surface. Macro particles do not substantially project on the surface of the reamer where a part or the whole of the surface is coated with soft or hard substance.
