    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a break-down device of underwater base rock and a break-down method of underwater base rock which prevents a wire from being paid off excessively when making a rock crushing bar fall freely and in which work can be conducted easily without unnecessarily reducing the falling speed of the rock crushing bar and without special skill.
      SOLUTION: A rock crushing bar supporting frame 7 is grounded to the bottom of water 41 using a main winding wire 11. Then the fixation of a fixing member 12 by a fixing device 10 is released and the fixing member 12 and the rock crushing bar 9 are dropped to crush the base rock at the bottom of water 41. Then the fixing device 10 is dropped in the rock crushing bar supporting frame 7 by a sub winding wire 13. When the fixing device 10 is dropped close to the rock crushing bar 9 the drop of the fixing device 10 is stopped and the fixing member 12 is fixed by the fixing device 10. In this state, the fixing device 10 is raised by the sub winding wire 13 and stopped at a specific height in order to return to the original state. This process is repeated to crush the bottom of water 41.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable position control of a floating body by a method wherein the floating body position of a floating body type excavation rig connected to a jet- proof device at a sea bottom through a riser pipe is corrected by a specified formula. SOLUTION: A riser pipe 3 is connected from a floating body 1, floating on a sea surface A, to a jet-proof device 2 arranged on a sea bottom B. A drill pipe inserted through the riser pipe 3 and excavation of a sea bottom is effected. The riser pipe 3 is provided at upper and lower ends with clinometers 4 and 5 to measure inclination angles θT and θB of the upper and lower ends of the riser pipe. A clinometer 11 is also arranged at the jet-proof device 2 at the sea bottom B. The inclination angles θT and θB the upper and lower ends of the riser pipe 3 are inputted from the clinometers 4 and 5 to a computer 6, and a position correction amount δ of the floating body 1 is determined according to a specified formula. An engine 7 for driving a pusher is run, and the floating body 1 is moved in the direction of an arrow mark by the position correction amount δ to correct a position. Further, the specified formula is δ=C.L(θB-αθt )/(1+α ), wherein C is a factor, L is the length of the riser pipe 3, and α is a factor to decide whether a weight is placed on control of the inclination angle of the upper part of the riser pipe or a weight is placed on control of the inclination angle of the lower part thereof.
