摘要： This position support for carbines in order to regulate their levelling devices has the feature of anchoring the carbine, which is stable, repeatable, with elevated mobile levels and the formation of precision trough devices. This support must support the gun in two places: at the hand guard and the kick. Another propriety of the mentioned support is the front support related to the hand guard that has a friction silencer for the transversal reactive thrust. Other features are having a bubble level on at least one transversal axis, where it can be used anywhere, and repeatedly even after mounting and remounting it, or, after changing the place where it is supported.

摘要： A mechanical holder consisting of two adjustable clamps, rigidly secured to two shafts to form a carriage adapted to move horizontally through four self-aligning bearings bolted to an angle iron frame. A coil spring embracing each of the shafts provides compressional force for control of the movement of the shafts within the bearings. When this holder is securely fastened to an immovable base, the rifle is to be clamped at the butt and forend and when the rifle is discharged it allows the rifle to recoil. The springs absorb the kinetic energy and return the rifle to its original position in such a manner as not to interfere with the rifle's normal performance.

Aiming-rests.-A stand, especially for use in testing rifles and for teaching purposes, comprises a carrier in which the rifle is firmly but yieldingly held in a manner simulating the human grip, the carrier being able to recoil against a spring which returns it to the original position after firing. Springs k , k , Fig. 4, in the front fork k , allow of lateral and downward movements of the .rifle, caused for instance by an incorrect pull-off. In order to indicate when such movements have occurred, these springs are formed as electric contacts adapted to touch contacts k , k and close circuits through indicators k , k .

Machine-rests for.-Relates to aiming-rests, for testing purposes, of the kind in which the gun is not clamped to any part of the rest, the whole of the recoil being taken by the hands of the operator, and consists in a special construction of rest which has as its object to obtain the same grouping for a series of shots as would be obtained by perfect aiming from the shoulder. A two-legged support 4 clamped to the rifle slides in an horizontal guideway 11 on a heavy stand S, and at the front abuts against adjustable stops. The gun is first accurately aimed at the target by adjusting the horizontal guideway and the stops, and then, after each shot, the gun is pushed forwards into contact with the stops whereby it is again accurately aimed. After the mean point of impact has been obtained, any inaccuracy in the adjustment of the sights can be corrected. Specifications 16,896/84 and 5638/86 are referred to.
