    • PURPOSE: An adaptive multiplexing/demultiplexing method is provided to achieve selectively according to specific circumstances by selecting between the plurality of a MUX/DEMUXs, to match a particular circumstance via a trade-off of overhead of the MUX/DEMUXs in audio/video system. CONSTITUTION: A H.324 for PSTN(public switched telephone network) comprises a MUX/DEMUX and a transcoder. First, media data are coded, and the coded media is then multiplexed by the adaptive MUX/DEMUX and the transcoder to form a protocol data and then transmitted through a channel. A transcoding option is inserted between the H.223 MUX/DEMUX having lower complexity and the H.223/Annex. A MUX/DEMUX having high complexity, to define a new multiplexing/demultiplexing method by using a plurality of MUX/DEMUXs having different complexities. The MUX-PDU of the H.223 MUX/DEMUX includes an 8-bit HDLC(high-level data link control) flag(310) used for controlling transmission, an 8-bit header(320) including data information, and a payload(330) including video and audio data.

    • PURPOSE: A pulse-shaping filtering device used for many transmission channels is used for a communication system having many transmission channels. CONSTITUTION: A shifting part shifts at least one channel data. Address signal generator receives an output signal of the shifting part, and generates the first and second address signals. A first storage part outputs a data which is stored in an address indicated by the first address signal transmitted from the address signal generator. A second storage part output a data which is stored in an address indicated by the second address signal transmitted from the address signal generator. Adder adds output data of the first and second storage parts. Demultiplexer performs a demultiplexing about an output signal of the adder. A signal distributor distributes an output signal of the demultiplexer. A pulse generator receives an output signal of the signal distributor, and generates at least one channel pulse. Accordingly, a pulse-shaping filtering device lowers a load on ROM, controls the ROM by using the fast clock.

The third MUX/DEMUX(240) is gained by applying the error bit to the MUX-PDU of the second MUX/DEMUX(230).
