摘要： A combination lighter and cigar cutter device (10) for cutting off an end of a cigar and lighting same includes a casing having a body (16), a lighting mechanism (30) for producing a flame, and a recess cavity formed in the body, and a cigar cutter having a planar ring member (34) wih a central opening (36) and a thin slot (38) formed therein. A pair of thin cutting blades (40, 42) are received within the slot of the ring member (34), each blade being movable between a first position in which the cutting blades are substantially withdrawn from the opening and a second position in which th ecutting blades are completely received within the opening, so as to effect a shearing or cutting action on a cigar positioned in said opening. Each cutting blade has a handle portion (44, 46) secured thereto for easily moving the cutting blades between the first and second positions. The ring member of the cigar cutter is pivotally secured to the casing about a vertical axis (54) for movement between an open and a closed non-use position in which the ring member is disposed snugly within the cavity.

摘要： A cigarette lighter has a fuel cartridge for use therewith that may be removable there-from. In the exemplary embodiment, the fuel cartridge has a reservoir for holding a flammable liquid fuel, and includes a valve having a closed state for denying escape of the fuel from the reservoir and an open state for allowing such escape. The lighter has an ignition actuator for causing ignition of the escaped fuel when the ignition actuator is actuated, a nozzle for causing the ignited fuel to form a lighting flame, and a valve actuator cooperating with the ignition actuator to open the valve as the ignition actuator is actuated. In the exemplary embodiment, the reservoir has a transparent portion and the lighter housing is an opaque shell surrounding the reservoir with a viewing window there-through. The viewing window is aligned with the transparent portion of the reservoir to allow external observation of the amount of fuel within said chamber. The transparent portion includes indicia for gauging the amount of fuel in the reservoir during the external observation. The indicia are aligned with the window for gauging the amount of fuel in said reservoir during the external observation, and are structurally contoured to provide means for engaging the reservoir to force the reservoir from the lighter.
