摘要： An example method to reconfigure power modes of a communication device includes operating the communication device in a first power mode. The method includes receiving a power mode reconfiguration command from a server that instructs the communication device to operate in a second power mode that is different than the first power mode. The method includes, in response to receiving the power mode reconfiguration command, terminating operation of the communication device in the first power mode and operating the communication device in the second power mode. A communication device with reconfigurable power modes may include an MCU, a processor (e.g., CPU) communicatively coupled to the MCU, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium communicatively coupled to the processor. The non-transitory computer-readable medium has instructions stored thereon that are executable by the processor to perform or control performance of the foregoing method.

摘要： A communications device comprises a processor, a memory device coupled to processor, one or more wireless transmitters, one or more wireless receivers, an output component, and an input component. The memory device includes executable instructions to enable the processor to perform the following steps: initiate a call with a first remote device; receive, from the first remote device, an indication of a phone number that is programmed in the communications device; initiate a call with a second remote device associated with the phone number that is programmed in the communications device; and cause the communications device, the first remote device, and the second remote device to be placed into a conference call, or to place the first remote device on hold while the communications device provides information to the second remote device. The communications device may be configured as an emergency pendant device, mobile phone, or any kind of communication device that can detect a signal to trigger either the sequence to conference call or place on hold and make a second call.

摘要： Methods and systems for translating technology relevant addresses to user relevant addresses, and for translating less accurate location addresses to more accurate location addresses, are provided. According to a first embodiment, a method for displaying location information relating to a mobile device comprises using received signal information to identify a specific transmitter; determining a location of the identified transmitter; determining a Technology Relevant Address; calculating an Error Radius; translating the Technology Relevant Address to a User Relevant Address; recalculating the Error Radius; and displaying the User Relevant Address. According to a second embodiment, the method comprises using a first, less accurate technology, receiving signal information and using the received signal information to identify a specific transmitter; determining the location of the identified transmitter; calculating an Error Radius; determining if there is a More Accurate Technology Location Address within the Error Radius that is less than some time period old; translating the Less Accurate Technology Address to the More Accurate Technology Address; and displaying the User Relevant Address.
