摘要： An animal chew may include a first elongated half and a second elongated half rotatably secured to the first elongated half, wherein the first and second elongated halves are rotatable around an axis of rotation. The animal chew may also include a locking pin retained between the first elongated half and the second elongated half, wherein the locking pin slides up and down the axis of rotation into a locked position and an unlocked position. The animal chew may further include a chamber having an opening and an interior volume, wherein the chamber is formed in at least one of the first elongated half and the second elongated half. When the locking pin is in the locked position, rotation of the first elongated half relative to the second elongated half is impeded.

摘要： Described herein are dental compositions, articles of manufacture including such dental compositions, and methods of using such dental compositions. In some embodiments, the dental compositions include a combination of ascorbic acid with at least one of a hexametaphosphate and a beta glucans. In some instances, the dental compositions are included within an edible article, a chew, or an edible chew. Administration of the dental compositions to the oral cavity of a subject may reduce the gingival, plaque, and/or calculus scores of the subject over a defined time period.

The base pet food may be characterized as having been prepared at a temperature at or above 200 0 F and/or a shear rate at or above 100 sec -1 . The nutritional additive may be stored in a container which is otherwise sealed from the environment, and which may be configured to dispense it contents, onto the base pet food, without substantial introduction of air and ensuing oxidation of its contents. The container may be collapsible/expandable. Furthermore the nutritional additive may be microencapsulated.
