    • Liquid crystal display device preventing brightness reduction of a backlight even when a recess is formed in a lower frame accommodating the backlight and a light-emitting diode substrate mounted with a light-emitting diode is accommodated in the recess. A backlight includes a reflection member arranged on the back side of a light guide plate, and the light-emitting diode irradiating the light guide plate with illumination light from a side portion of the light guide plate. The recess protruding on the back side is formed in the lower frame for accommodating and arranging the light-emitting diode substrate mounted with the light-emitting diode therein. A part of an end portion of the reflection member protrudes into a space formed by the recess toward the light emitting diode. A holding member is arranged between the reflection member and the lower frame at least to hold the protruding region of the reflection member.

    • The present invention is a method of manufacturing an organic EL display device including a display part arranged with a plurality of pixels including an organic EL light emitting layer, and a terminal part arranged with a plurality of terminals each connected to the organic EL light emitting layer respectively, the method comprising forming a TFT drive circuit layer controlling the organic EL light emitting layer and forming the plurality of terminals connected to the TFT drive circuit layer on a first substrate; forming the organic EL light emitting layer connected to the TFT drive circuit layer over the TFT drive circuit layer; forming a sealing film over the organic EL light emitting layer; adhering a second substrate covering the display part in a position corresponding to the first substrate; forming a touch panel sensor substrate and an electrode layer over the second substrate; and exposing the plurality of terminals by etching a part of the sealing film.

    • An insulating layer is disposed in areas between pixel electrodes adjacent to each other so as to rest on peripheries of the pixel electrodes.     • A pixel electrode formed into a slit structure with striped electrodes opposed to each other for a zero rubbing angle can provide fast response since rotational directions of the liquid crystals become opposite at both sides of the slit in the striped electrodes. The electrode structure, however, poses a problem of low transmittance. Provided is a liquid crystal display device of IPS-Pro scheme including a pixel electrode with one pair of striped electrodes. The first striped electrode includes a short electrode section and long electrode sections, and the second striped electrode also includes a short electrode section and long electrode sections. The long electrode sections of the first striped electrode are disposed adjacently to those of the second striped electrode. Liquid crystals are aligned in a lengthwise direction of the striped electrodes.
