摘要： A communications system includes first signal processing circuitry for receiving a plurality of input data streams and applying a different orthogonal function to each of the plurality of input data streams. Second signal processing circuitry processes each of the plurality of input data streams having the different orthogonal function applied thereto to locate a first group of the plurality of input data streams having a first orthogonal function applied thereto onto a carrier signal and locates a second group of the plurality of input data streams having a second orthogonal function applied thereto onto the carrier signal. A transmitter transmits the carrier signal including the first group of the plurality of input data streams having the first orthogonal function applied thereto and the second group of the plurality of input data streams having the second orthogonal function applied thereto over a plurality of communications links from a plurality of transmitting antennas.

First information associated with desired advertising information is broadcast from at least one of a plurality of fixed information nodes. A mobile unit receives the broadcast information and outputs the desired advertising information. An advertisement counter is started at the time of receipt of the broadcast information and presence information is broadcast from at least one of a plurality of fixed monitoring nodes over a restricted broadcast range, which at least one fixed monitoring node is disposed in a predetermined fixed physical proximity with a vendor location. The broadcast presence information is received at the mobile unit and a presence counter is started in response to receipt of the presence information. At the mobile unit loss of receipt of the broadcast presence information, the presence counter is stopped.

摘要： A system for monitoring a live-data flow through a network includes at least one server communicating with the network. A processor within each of the at least one server implements a first processing node for monitoring a mirrored live-data flow of the live-data flow passing through at least one selected point within the network in a non-intrusive manner that does not affect the live-data flow passing through the at least one selected point. The first processing node decodes data within the mirrored live-data flow according to each protocol associated with the data. The first processing node detects at least one predetermined or deduced condition defined by at least one of a plurality of applications implemented on a second processing node and executes at least one predetermined or deduced response responsive to an indication of occurrence of the at least one predetermined or deduced condition within the decoded data. The first processing node also forwards data from the first processing node to a second processing node data from at least one of the plurality of simultaneous live-data flows based upon occurrence of the at least one predetermined or deduced condition. The processor within the at least one server the processor further implements the second processing node for accessing from the second processing node, external data from an external data source. The second processing node also processes at least a portion of the data forwarded from the first processing node using at least one of the plurality of applications implemented on the second processing node and the external data. The processing of the data by the at least one of the plurality of applications and the external data causes execution of the at least one predetermined or deduced response to determine a manner for controlling an operation of the network at a same time the live-data flow is in active transmission between the endpoints in the network. The operation of the network is controlled in response to the executed at least one predetermined or deduced response while events associated with the live-data flow are occurring within the network.

摘要： A cell phone is disclosed for acquiring information to be transmitted to a receiving facility and for transmitting such thereto. A capture device captures information from an external source. A processor is provided for associating with the captured information a representation of the date and time of the capture of the information, such that the representation of the date and time information in association with the captured information forms augmented captured information. The processor also places the augmented captured information in association with subscriber information in a transmission of the augmented captured information to a receiving facility requiring such subscriber information. A transmitter transmits the transmission including the augmented captured information and the subscriber information to the receiving facility. An encryptor encrypts the augmented captured information with a symmetrical encryption algorithm to provide encrypted augmented captured information in the transmission with the subscriber information.

In one example, the method includes receiving a request from a device to take control of the shared resource. After determining that another device is currently in control of the shared resource, a timer is started. Input received from the device currently in control is executed. Input received from the device that has requested control is buffered and executed once control is transferred.

A global inventory warehouse (GIW) receives an identification and physical location of these assets from multiple source systems. The GIW receives this information from the source systems and stores it within a GIW database. This database may also contain an identification of physical locations within the organization of all or substantially all of these assets.
