摘要： A throwing and catching training apparatus for sports, such as baseball and softball. The throwing and catching training apparatus provides an upright, substantially rigid target panel (12) having a plurality of elastomeric bumpers (14) connected to the target panel wherein the bumpers are adaptable to defect a thrown projectile in a random direction. A pair of support structures (18) are connected to the target panel for supporting the target panel in an upright position. The target panel may have a cut-out portion (16) extending through the target panel for further defining a target. An elastic mesh (40) netting may be connected to the target panel and extend across the cut-out portion of the target panel in order that a thrown projectile may spring back from the target panel after engaging the elastic mesh netting. The bumpers have a stem (44) that is releasably connected to the target panel and a substantially circular, dome-shaped head that is integral with the stem and extends away from the target panel. The shape of the bumpers allows the thrown projectile to deflect back to the user in a random direction to allow the user to practice their fielding.

A series of projection sums are calculated from a sample image of the known object where the known object has an assumed pose. The projection sums are calculated for a range of angles and organized into a two dimensional array coined a projection image. A projection sum is calculated across the image of the known object with the unknown pose preferably at the perpendicular. This projection sum is correlated against the projection image and the angle corresponding to the best correlation is determined to be the angular pose of the known object.

摘要： An occlusion device includes a balloon and a catheter. The occlusion device is configured to allow blood to pass through the balloon, instead of around the balloon. By allowing the blood to pass through the balloon, constant traction against the vessel wall is achieved, regardless of flow rate, thereby mitigating distal migration. The balloon includes an orifice to allow blood flow through the balloon. The orifice is independent of the diameter of the vessel, therefore the effect of the diameter of the vessel changing during the procedure will not affect the flow rate of blood. The occlusion device enables finer titration of blood flow by varying the size of the orifice when compared to conventional solutions.
