摘要： The invention relates to a method of degradation of volatile organic compounds in waste air, comprising the steps of supplying waste air to a first reactor (1), where it is irradiated with UV radiation at a wavelength below 200 nm to form photolytic decomposition intermediates, wherein ozone is produced; removing the waste air and the photolytic decomposition intermediates from the first reactor (1) and introducing them into a second reactor (2), where they are brought into contact with an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide; irradiating the aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, the waste air and the photolytic decomposition intermediates with UV radiation at a wavelength above 200 nm to form photochemical decomposition products, wherein hydroxyl radicals are produced; and removing the purified waste air including the photochemical decomposition products and being at least partially free of volatile organic compounds from the second reactor (2). The concentration of ozone produced is in the range 185-240 ppm at a first reactor outlet (4) and the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the aqueous solution is in the range of 0.80-1.15 wt. %.

摘要： PURPOSE:To allow the treatment of even the org. waste contg. hardly treatable sludgy and solid org. matter by forming filter beds constituted of porous filter media to two apper and lower layers and constituting the upper as an agitating filter bed which is agitated by an agitator and the lower layer by a fixed filter bed. CONSTITUTION:The filter bed 4 is formed to the two upper and lower layers. The upper layer thereof is provided with the agitator 10 and is formed as the agitating filter bed 4a for mixing and agitating the filter media 3 and the org. matter and the lower layer is formed as the fixed filter bed 4b as it is. Even the sludgy and solid org. matter is pulverized by the agitator, is forcibly pushed into the filter beds and is intensified in contact with the filter media according to this device and, therefore, the elimination of the clogging and the microorganism treatment are accelerated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve treatment efficiency by distributing the pores possessed by the filter media themselves and the spacings among the filter media so as to be smaller from the upper layers to the lower layers of filter beds. CONSTITUTION:The org. matter contained in org. waste is subjected to a physical filtration effect by the spacings among the filter media 3 as the org. waste penetrates successively in the filter beds 4. The org. matter is captured by microorganisms as well and is subjected to a decomposition treatment. The treated water subjected to such effect is discharged from a discharge pipe 8. The filter media are so distributed that the sizes of the pores formed in the filter media and the spacings among the filter media change successively from the larger sizes to the smaller sizes from the upper layers toward the lower layers of the filter beds. Since the org. matter having small shapes penetrates down to the lower filter beds, the org. matter is eventually distributed into the filter beds according to the sizes of the shapes thereof (load is uniformly distributed). The efficiency of the effect of capturing the microorganisms is thereby enhanced and a contribution is made to the elimination of clogging.

摘要： The invention concerns a method of biological treatment of exhaust air in an environment whose temperature exceeds 35 °C to remove volatile organic acids and/or their derivatives, a biofilm, packing material of the biofilter and biofilter medium to implement this method. The packing material of the biofilter of the biofilter is enriched with volatile organic acid forming a secondary source of energy for immobilised organisms. The biofilm is formed by a mixture of the thermophylic strain Geobacillus caldoxylosilyticus BGSC W98A1 and the thermotolerant strain Aeribacillus pallidus in the ratio ranging from 1:5 to 5:1 and the exhaust air is supplied to the biofilter within the temperature range from 35 to 75 °C.
