    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of establishing information gathering for structured or partially structured directories.SOLUTION: Structured data or unstructured data associated with an enterprise is acquired from one or more information sources such as commercial data providers, enterprise websites or directory website. A character string extracted from the unstructured data includes a plurality of pairs of keys and values describing facts associated with the enterprise. The extracted character string has its sentence structure interpreted so as to standardize and replace the keys and values with structured expressions comprehensible to machines. Some of the keys or values cannot be standardized. The fact is (clustered) in one together with the enterprise that they belong to. Standardized facts from different information sources are compared, and reliability levels or weights are allocated to the facts. Those reliability levels and weights are used to select facts displayed in a page for enterprise in directories.
