    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a band saw blade capable of sufficiently penetrating a workpiece in a state of reducing cutting force, having durability, and usefully manufactured by reducing a required polishing quantity. SOLUTION: The band saw blade 1a has a band and a tooth 1-9 extending from this band, and its tooth 1-9 is arranged in circulating main groups, and the respective main groups have at least two circulating set sub-groups. Set amplitude of the whole is the same as respective ones of the set sub-groups. Individual set amplitude on at least one specific tooth 1-9 existing in a specific position in a specific set sub-group, is different from individual set amplitude on a corresponding tooth 1-9 existing in a corresponding position in at least one of residual set sub-groups of the main groups.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration, instability and a wavy cut surface from being generated by a method wherein each set of saw teeth has at least a lateral rake angle of a negative type of a specific angle, and a side face clearance angle larger than the lateral rake angle. SOLUTION: At least an upper part of a front rake face 20 is worked by grinding in an acute angle concerning an intersecting line extending at a right angle to a central line. This angle corresponds to a required difference between a side face clearance 16 and a lateral direction rake angle 18. This angle is preferably at least 5 deg.. The lateral rake angle 18 is at least a 5 deg. negative type angle, and the side face clearance angle 16 is larger than the lateral angle and preferably larger at least by 5 deg.. The side face clearance angle, in order to keep a low cutting force and to avoid work hardening of a cutting surface, can be made sufficiently large. Besides, the lateral rake angle, in order to minimize a lateral force in grinding work, can be sufficiently decreased.
