    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally and efficiently control the water content and to improve the productivity of a forming machine and the stability of the quality of a formed article by measuring the hardness of a rod-shaped argil extruded and transported from a kneader, not transporting a nonstandard argil to the forming machine and automatically injecting water into the kneader. SOLUTION: A rod-shaped argil 1 extruded from a kneader is automatically cut to a set length and transported by a belt conveyor 20. Before that, the rear end is detected by a sensor 25, and the conveyor 20 is stopped below a hardness measuring member 30 under the command of a controller. A needle 32 is thrust into the argil 1 by the same command, the thrust amt. is measured by a measuring part 33, and the needle 32 is raised. When the measured hardness of the argil 1 is within a specified range, the conveyor 20 is started to transport the argil 1 to a forming machine. When the hardness is beyond the specified range, the conveyor 20 is inclined by a lift 50, and the argil 1 is rolled to a receiver 51 and sorted. When the hardness of argil exceeds the upper limit, water is added on the instructions to the kneader to the extent of the difference from the specified value.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately print a pattern on the spherical surface of ceramic ware while suppressing the deformation of a pad at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION:A work table 2 supporting ceramic ware W having a spherical surface such as a bowl and a pad arranging mechanism 7 arranging a doughnut- shaped pad composed of silicone rubber to the position coming into contact with an original plate under pressure and the position coming into contact with the ceramic ware W under pressure are provided in a printer 4. The pad arranging mechanism 7 is constituted of a slide member 9 and a lift member 10 and pad 5 is attached to the lower end of the drive shaft 11 inserted in the lift member 10. The pad 5 is rotated by a stepping motor 13 and the stepping motor 13 is controlled according to the pattern corresponding to the spherical surface of the ceramic ware W. The pad 5 is brought into contact with the spherical surface of the ceramic ware W under pressure at a part to which no pigment is bonded and trially rotated within an angle range not accompanied by printing therefrom before the start of printing.

    • PURPOSE:To uniformly grind a high pedestal face and to eliminate the need for adjusting a grindstone even if the shape of the high pedestal face varies with less wear of the grindstone by abutting plural grindstones to the high pedestal face of a dish class, etc., and grinding with the planetary rotation of the grindstone. CONSTITUTION:When a high pedestal face 51a is located at the specified position by freely detachably holding the inner side 52 of a tableware 5 by a suction pad 21 and a planetary gear 34 is rotated with revolving along an internal gear 35, a grindstone 31 is rotated with revolving in the same way as the planetary gear 34. When the high pedestal face 51a is abutted to the grindstone 31 by descending the position of the suction pad 21 in this state, the rough face of the high pedestal face 51a can be ground flatly and smoothly. The part used for grinding of the grindstone 31 then becomes almost the whole face of the side face of the grindstone 31 and due to the wear being less and uniform the high pedestal face 51a can uniformly be ground. Even in case of the diameter of the high pedestal face 51a being changed according to the size of the tablewear 5 such case can well be adjustive because of the planetary rotations of plural grindstones 31.
