    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization apparatus capable of preventing an adverse influence to a latter process and surely removing a sulfur component from liquid fuel, and a fuel cell system equipped with such a desulfurization apparatus.
SOLUTION: In the desulfurization apparatus 3 of the fuel cell system 1, gas discharged with liquid fuel from a desulfurizer 8 is separated from the liquid fuel at a gas liquid separation container 9 and discharged from the gas liquid separation container 9 through a gas discharge line 13. Therefore, the liquid fuel mixed with gas is prevented from being supplied to the latter part of the desulfurizer 8. Moreover, in the gas discharge line 13, a capillary tube 15 which hinders gas from flowing is installed at the downstream side of an electromagnetic valve 14 for opening and closing the flow of gas. Consequently, even when the flow of gas is opened by the electromagnetic valve 14 for discharging gas from the gas liquid separation container 9 through the gas discharge line 13, a lowering of pressure in the desulfurizer 8 is controlled by the capillary tube 15 and a high-pressure status is maintained.
