摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy for sliding member which has excellent heat resistance, wear resistance and high recycling properties, and whose weight reduced as well. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy 10 for sliding member having a composition containing, by weight, 10 to 45% Si and 3 to 15% Cu, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is produced. In this alloy 10, the primary crystals of Si 12 are dispersedly precipitated in a state where they are projected by a height h (about 0.1 to 0.2 μm) from a matrix 14. Then, many projecting parts are formed. In this way, recessed parts 16 are formed between the adjacent primary crystals (or primary phases) 12 of Si. This recessed parts 16 can be filled with lubricating oil, lubricating fats and oils, solid lubricants or the like.
