摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor improved in compatibility with and affinity for a binder, charge transport function, sensitivity, chargeability, stability of electrophotographic characteristics, and endurance to fatigue caused by repeated use by incorporating a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:An aldehyde compound of formula I [wherein Ar and Ar each represent an (un)substituted alkyl, an (un)substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group and an (un)substituted aromatic heterocyclic group, which may combine to form a ring; R to R each represent H, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; R represents an (un)substituted aralkyl or Ar ; and X represents H or halogen] and a hydrazine compound of formula II (wherein Ar and Ar have the same meanings as Ar and Ar ) are subjected to a condensation reaction in a solvent, optionally in the presence of a catalyst, whereby a diphenylamine compound of formula III is obtained. A photosensitive layer obtained by dispersing in a binder a charge-generating material and a charge-transferring material comprising the above compound is provided on a support to obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive body having a high sensitivity and less residual potential by adding sodium acetate to a charge generating layer contg. an azo compd. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum, copper, etc., are used as a base 1 and the fine particles of he azo compd. and the sodium acetate are dispersed into a soln. dissolved with a binder. This soln. is applied on the base 1 and is dried, by which the charge generating layer 2 is obtd. A soln. dissolved with a charge transfer material and a binder is applied thereon and is dried, by which a charge transfer layer 3 is produced. Polystyrene, polacrylamide, etc., are used as the binder. The thickness of the layer 2 is preferably 0.01 to 5mum and the thickness of the layer 3 is preferably 3 to 50mum. The ratio of the azo compd. in the layer 2 is specified to >=30wt.T and the amt. of the sodium acetate to be used is specified to 5 to 1000 pts. wt. per 10000 pts. wt. azo compd. The charge transfer material is incorporated at 10 to 95wt.% into the layer 3. Since the sodium acetate is added into the charge generating layer, the sensitivity is greatly improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To purify the subject acid anhydride as an intermediate of dyestuffs to a high-purity substance by reacting a specified dicarboxylic acid anhydride with a secondary amine in a solvent, filtering the reaction product and adding an acid to the filtrate for hydrolysis. CONSTITUTION:A dicarboxylic acid anhydride of formula I (X is alkyl, halogen or H) is reacted with a secondary amine (e.g. dimethylamine or diethanolamine) of formula II (R and R are 1-10C alkyl, alkoxyalkyl or hydroxyalkyl) to obtain a compound of formula III. The resultant reaction solution is then filtered for removal of impurities and an acid (preferably hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid or phosphoric acid) is added to the filtrate for hydrolysis, thus purifying the compound of formula I. In addition, room temperature - 200 deg.C and 1-10hrs are preferable as the reaction conditions between the compounds of formulae I and II.
