    • PURPOSE:To improve the photosensitivity and chargeability of the photosensitive body and to stabilize the photosensitivity and charge potential against an environmental change by incorporating a charge generating pigment having an electron hole transfer property and a specific compd. into a charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body is formed by incorporating the charge generating pigment having the electron hole transfer property (e.g.: phthalocyanine pigment) and the tetracyanoanthraquinodimethane expressed by formula I are incorporated into the charge generating layer of the photosensitive body. In formula, R1 to R4 denote H, alkyl group, etc.; the compd. expressed by formula II, etc., are usable as the compd. of the formula. This photosensitive body is subjected to 1st image exposing and a negatively charged toner is stuck to the low potential part of the resulted latent image to form a 1st toner image. The photosensitive body is then subjected to 2nd image exposing and the 2nd toner image consisting of a positively charged toner is formed on the high-potential part of the resulted latent image. After the polarities of the 1st and 2nd toner images are unified in one direction, the images are transferred to form the pictures.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body good in chargeability, rapid in potential decay due to exposure to light, high in sensitivity, and further small in dependence of potential decay on an electric field by combining an electric charge generating layer containing a trisazo pigment with a charge transfer layer containing a benzidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer contains one of the trisazo pigments represented by formula I and the charge transfer layer contains one of the benzidine derivatives represented by formula II and embodied by formula III. In formulae I and II, each of R1-R3 is H, halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy; Cp is represented by formula IV; Ar is an aromatic hydrocarbon or hetero ring; X is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic hydrocarbon group or the like; Y is a hydrocarbon group; Z is a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group or the like; R4 is alkyl or alkoxy; and one of R5 and R6 is >=2C alkyl and the other is H or the like, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be freed of trailing of potential and almost freed of residual potential.
