    • PURPOSE:To provide a color picture forming method capable of obtg. a sufficiently high gradation, and developed color density with sufficiently high sensitivity even by a rapid processing by coupling a magenta coupler having a specified compsn. with a photosensitive material through an S atom at a coupling position of the magenta coupler. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material contg. a magenta coupler having an eliminable group having at least one carboxyl group or a salt thereof, and having >=12 total C atom is image-exposed, then processed with a color developing soln. contg. an aromatic primary amine type developing agent which is coupled at a coupling position through an S atom. When above magenta coupler is used, unnecessary magenta color development in an inexposed part is prevented. Moreover, since obtd. color picture has high developed color density and the developing soln. has high color developing velocity, the developing soln. is used suitably for rapid processing. Thus, a color picture having sufficiently high gradation and developed color density is formed with sufficiently high sensitivity.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which is improved in the color balance between a magenta color picture and a yellow color picture at the time of processing the material in a light room and has the excellent light resistance by incorporating a specified 5-pyrazolone magenta coupler, a specified yellow coupler and a specified noncoloring compd. in a green sensitive emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The 5-pyrazolone magenta coupler having a group shown by formula I at the coupling position of a pyrazolone nucleus is incorporating in at least one layer of the green sensitive emulsion layers, and the yellow coupler shown by formula II and the noncoloring compd. shown by formula III are incorporated in at least one layer of the blue sensitive emulsion layers. In formulas I, II and III, L1 and L2 are each methylene or ethylene group, R1 is hydrogen atom, alkyl or aryl group, etc., R3 is halogen atom or alkoxy group, R6 is alkyl or alkoxy group. Thus, the photosensitive material which has the improved shelf-life of the picture and does not break the color balance, even at the time of exposing the material with a light for a long period, is obtd.
