    • Certain aspects and features are directed to determining characteristics such as phase margin and gain margin of signals such as standardized orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (“OFDM”) signals. In one aspect, a processing system can identify multiple carriers in an OFDM signal communicated by a repeater. The carriers include carriers from frequency guard band other than those used for communicating payload data or pilot data. The processing system can generate dynamic characteristic data to be sent via the carriers. The processing system can generate modulate the carriers with the dynamic characteristic data. The modulated power level of the carriers is less than a maximum level of noise filtered by a device receiving the OFDM signal.

    • A signal repeating system includes at least one input antenna that receives input signals, at least one output antenna that radiates output signals, and a signal path between the input and output antennas. The signal path includes circuitry for conditioning the input signals with down conversion circuitry that converts input signals to lower frequency signals and analog-to-digital conversion circuitry that converts the input signals to digital signals. A suppression circuit suppresses feedback and interference in the repeated output signals with a digital signal processor configured for receiving samples of the input signals, samples of the output signals, and samples of an interference reference signal and an adaptive filter under the control of the digital signal processor for generating echo cancellation signals and interference cancellation signals.

    • A disconnect tool for disconnecting a cable connector from a terminal is provided. The disconnect tool can include a body and a gripping portion at a first end of the body and perpendicular to the body. The gripping portion can be adapted to engage a cable connector. The groove can have a width greater than or equal to the cable connector. Engaging the cable connector can include positioning the gripping portion such that the gripping portion partially surrounds the outer diameter of the cable connector. The width of the gripping portion can be sufficiently narrow so as to allow the gripping portion to engage a first cable connector in close proximity to a second cable connector. For a disconnect tool engaging a cable connector, applying a force to a second end of the body in an opposite direction from the cable connector can disconnect the cable connector from the terminal.
