The API is configured to retrieve data from an end-user or an external data source to further process the retrieved data based on the requirement of the business solution.

    • In an aspect, a system, non-transitory machine readable medium and method for updating at least a portion of a previously transmitted personalized software application is disclosed. A request is received from a user's client device to obtain one or more updated files associated with a previously transmitted personalized software application which includes a customized executable file having core library file(s) and configuration file(s). The user and client device profile information is retrieved from a user database to identify the core library and the one or more configuration files that were included in the previously transmitted executable file. A file database is accessed and at least one updated file is selected corresponding to a previous version file included in the previously transmitted executable file. The updated file(s) is sent to the client device which is then implemented by the client device to operate the updated version of the software application.

    • The present disclosure provides a system and method for determining a location of an item using the services of an existing cellular infrastructure. A search request comprising a first item identifier of the item is received by a tracking service server from a user. A second item identifier of the item is retrieved by the tracking service server from a tracking service database. A search signal comprising the second item identifier is transmitted from the tracking service server to at least one mobile service provider system. The search signal is transmitted by the at least one mobile service provider system to a plurality of communicatively coupled transmitting towers which are configured to locate the item by capturing radio frequency signals, comprising the second item identifier, emitted by an identification tag coupled to the item.

    • Computing resources can be assigned to sub-plans within a query plan to effect parallel execution of the query plan. For example, computing resources in a grid can be represented by nodes, and a shortest path technique can be applied to allocate machines to the sub-plans. Computing resources can be provisionally allocated as the query plan is divided into query plan segments containing one or more sub-plans. Based on provisional allocations to the segments, the computing resources can then be allocated to the sub-plans within respective segments. Multiprocessor computing resources can be supported. The techniques can account for data locality. Both pipelined and partitioned parallelism can be addressed. Described techniques can be particularly suited for efficient execution of bushy query plans in a grid environment. Parallel processing will reduce the overall response time of the query.
