摘要： A gas detector is disclosed which includes a CO sensor and a processor. The CO sensor senses an environmental CO concentration and provides a variable electrical output in response. The processor receives digitized samples of the sensor's electrical output and computes, with each measurement sample, a COHb level of a hypothetical person exposed to the CO concentration sensed. The computation involves determining an equilibrium COHb level for each measurement sample, which is compared with a previously computed COHb level associated with previously measured samples. The previously computed COHb level is updated based on the comparison. When the computed COHb level is above a predetermined danger threshold, the processor preferably causes an audible and visual alarm to be activated to alert any persons present. The gas detector can further include a CH.sub.4 sensor coupled to the processor for independently sensing CH.sub.4 levels such that an alarm is activated when the CH.sub.4 levels are above a predefined threshold. A hydrophobic zeolite filter is disposed on the sensor elements of one or both of the CO and CH.sub.4 sensors to prevent erroneous readings.

摘要： A detector device for determining the presence of organic materials in water streams, such as chemical sewers, as a result of leakage or spillage. The device comprises an upright elongated electrically insulating tube through which material from the stream is pumped. At intervals flow through the tube stops, the lighter organic material rising to the top and displacing water downwardly. A pair of spaced apart metal rings near the top of the tube act as plates of an electrical capacitor. As the level of organic material in the tube reaches the location of the rings, the dielectric change changes the electrical value of the capacitor. This change in value is detected and utilized to trigger an alarm. The position of the rings along the tube is adjustable. Using the capacitor as part of the tuned circuit of an oscillator is one means to develop an alarm signal when the oscillator is detuned when the dielectric changes near the rings.

The microchip includes a plurality of silicon chemical-sensitive field effect transistors (CS-FETs) configured to detect multiple distinct gases vented by the lithium-ion battery cell. The battery management system also includes a cell monitoring unit (CMU) configured to receive from at least one of the CS-FETs data indicative of a detected amount of gas vented by the lithium-ion battery cell. The CMU is also configured to compare the data indicative of the detected amount of the vented gas to a predetermined threshold amount of the subject vented gas programmed into the CMU. 摘要： A system for monitoring for a gas leak from a gas containing structure. The system includes a lens that directs an image of a scene of interest through an optical filter to a detector. The filter, associated with the lens, has one or more passbands that pass wavelengths which match one or more emission or reflectively wavelengths of the gas being monitored. A detector receives the image after the image passes through the lens and the filter. The detector generates image data representing the scene including the gas containing structure. A processor is configured to process the image data by executing machine executable code stored on a memory. The machine executable code processes the image data to identify turbulence flows in the image data such that a turbulence flow indicates a gas leak. The code generates and sends an alert in response to the identification of a turbulence flow.
