    • A lead frame for an electric microphone which includes an H-shaped structure of thin metallic material including spaced parallel legs and a crossbar therebetween. A first plate is spaced from the crossbar and is located between the legs. A lead connects the first plate to the crossbar. A second plate is spaced from the first plate and is connected thereto by a lead. All of the above structure is monolithic and coplanar being formed of a thin metallic material. The second plate is provided with holes and a amplifier chip is mounted on the first plate. Leads are provided connecting the chip with the aforesaid legs. The above structure is entrapped between two case halves and a metallized film is supported between the halves and in spaced parallel relationship with the second plate being supported on distant pieces. A cover encircles the case halves.

    • In an electrodynamic speaker comprising a vibrating plate, a voice coil secured to the vibrating plate, a magnetic circuit portion having a soft magnetic member and a magnet and having a magnetic gap, a frame for supporting the peripheral portion of the vibrating plate and the magnetic circuit portion, and a lead substrate. The voice coil is secured to the vibrating plate after the vibrating plate is secured to the frame and then the magnetic circuit portion is assembled on the frame. As a result of it, the lead terminal of the voice coil can be connected to the lead substrate through the notch portion of the frame in the same process as mounting the voice coil on the vibrating plate wherey the factor of variation in the magnetic gap dimension which affects the efficiency of the magnetic circuit is reduced.

    • A loudspeaker holder including a baffle plate and a loudspeaker supported by the baffle plate is rotatably coupled to a portable sound reproducing device having an operating surface and an audio-amplifier for supplying a power output signal to the loudspeaker through a pin and opening coupling means. To utilize the loudspeaker, the loudspeaker holder is rotated about the pin to form a space between the baffle plate and the operating surface. The sounds generated by the loudspeaker are transmitted to the outside through the space and an opening provided in the baffle plate. In case of carrying the portable sound reproducing device, loudspeaker holder is rotated about the pin to bring the baffle plate into contact with the operating surface, and to extinguish the space.

    • A solderless connector for joining the flexible electrical moving leads connecting the voice coil of a loudspeaker to the electrical input terminals located on the loudspeaker frame. The connector supplies electrical continuity between the flexible conductor and the terminal, and mechanically secures the flexible conductor without the need for solder or other mechanical means, thereby improving efficiency of assembly and improving quality by eliminating problems attributable to poor workmanship in soldering operations. These movable leads are known as pigtails, and their length is adjusted to insure long life and to eliminate distortion. A pigtail that is too short will limit cone excursion by becoming taut and introduce distortion into the acoustical output. A short pigtail will also result in early failure of the loudspeaker due to the excessive stress. A pigtail that is too long will also introduce distortion due to the generation of spurious noise. The method of ensuring correct pigtail length employs a dressing fixture.
