    • Embodiments of the invention provide for a wireless computing device that comprises a set of one or more radio components to transmit and receive wireless communications on the device. Additionally, the wireless computing device includes processing and memory resources that individually or in combination provide multiple wireless applications, a radio object, and an arbitration component. The multiple wireless applications are each capable of generating a user-interface for enabling user-input in connection with wireless activities performed with that wireless application. The radio object interfaces the multiple applications with the set of one or more radio components. The arbitration component is configured to arbitrate at least one of (i) requests made by each of the wireless applications to the radio object for access to one or more of the radio components in the set, or (ii) responses from the radio object to requests made by each of the wireless applications.

    • A method and a system for transmitting a widget message are described herein. The method can include: a widget mobile terminal transmitting a widget message to a receiver through a widget server; after receiving the widget message sent from the widget mobile terminal, the widget server judging whether the receiver supports the widget; if judging that the receiver supports the widget, then transmitting the received widget message to the receiver; and if judging that the receiver does not support the widget, then transmitting a corresponding message to the receiver via a message center. A widget mobile user can transmit a widget to another widget mobile user, and the receiver can run the widget application directly while receiving the widget message.

    • The present invention discloses a system and a method for improving service subscription or unsubscription speed for Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) roaming users, wherein the system comprises a national WAP portal protocol conversion module and provincial WAP portal protocol conversion modules. The national WAP portal protocol conversion module and each provincial WAP portal protocol conversion module are configured to, through performing conversion between a synchronous message and an asynchronous message, inform a corresponding provincial WAP portal of a subscription or unsubscription request sent by a national WAP portal through a long connection link between the national WAP portal protocol conversion module and the provincial WAP portal protocol conversion module, and inform the national WAP portal of a processing result of subscription or unsubscription performed by the provincial WAP portal through the long connection link. The present invention accomplishes the conversion transmission of the synchronous message and asynchronous message through protocol conversion modules, reduces the load of the national WAP portal greatly, and makes it quite obvious that the service subscription or unsubscription speed for users is improved.

Aspects of the method may include creating an active application context upon launching a first application by the application manager. The active application context may be transitioned into a suspended application context upon suspending the first application by the application manager. The suspended application context may be stored in an application manager context stack. The stored suspended application context may be acquired from the application manager context stack upon receipt of an exit message by the application manager. The application manager context stack may comprise a last-in-first-out (LIFO) context stack. The first application associated with said suspended application context may be reactivated upon removal of the suspended application context from the application manager context stack.

    • The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for a mobile station application to receive and transmit raw packetized data in a wireless communication system. The present invention includes a mobile station application that creates at least one socket. At least one of mobile station protocol layers of a communication protocol stack receives encapsulated raw packetized data from a communication network. The raw packetized data lacks destination port information. At least one of the mobile station protocol layers transmits unencapsulated raw packetized data to the created sockets. In turn, the created sockets transmit the raw packetized data to the mobile station application. In another implementation, the created sockets transmit raw packetized data of the mobile station application to at least one of the mobile station protocol layers. In turn, at least one of the mobile station protocol layers transmits encapsulated raw packetized data to the communication network.
