    • A backlight module for a liquid crystal display according to the present invention is provided. The backlight module includes a light guide plate, a light source, a first reflection sheet and a second reflection sheet. The light guide plate has an upper surface, a lower surface, and opposing first and second side surfaces. The light source is disposed on the first side surface of the light guide plate and comprises a plurality of point light sources. The first reflection sheet is disposed on the light source and the upper surface of the light guide plate to reflect light beams emitting from the light source to the light guide plate. The first reflection sheet includes a plurality of first portions, a plurality of second portions and a plurality of protrusion portions, wherein the first portions are positioned corresponding to the light source and arranged alternately with the second portions. The protrusion portions extend from the second portions toward the second side surface of the light guide plate. The second reflection sheet is disposed under the lower surface of the light guide plate.

    • An internet protocol television including a TV main chip, an internet module and a micro control processor. The TV main chip receives a TV signal and an internet signal, and outputs a video signal and an audio signal after processing the received TV signal and the internet signal. The internet module receives processes and outputs the internet signal. The micro control processor receives a command signal and accordingly activates the TV main chip to execute corresponding commands. The micro control processor is able to directly control the receiving, processing and outputting of the internet signal by the internet module without activating the TV main chip.

    • A method for producing a thin film transistor includes providing a glass substrate; disposing a positive photosensitive coating on the glass substrate; providing a transparent molding plate having a plurality of ladder opaque protrusions that are arranged in accordance with a predetermined pattern and that have at least two different depths; pressing the transparent molding plate into the positive photosensitive coating without contacting the glass substrate; exposing a part of the positive photosensitive coating which is unshielded under the ladder opaque protrusions, with a UV light; separating the transparent molding plate from the glass substrate after the step of exposing; and removing the part of the positive photosensitive coating, which is unshielded under the ladder opaque protrusions and not cured, using a chemical solvent, whereby the thin film transistor is formed in a pattern having more than two different depths.

    • The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display containing a plurality of liquid crystals, a switching element, a plurality of alignment layers and a plurality of electrodes. The switching element comprises a gate, a drain and a source, and the drain/source forms a directional top portion. The gate and the source/drain form a lateral electric field. The alignment layer is disposed on the switching element and corresponds with the directional top portion. The plurality of liquid crystals are operated by the lateral electric field and located above the electrodes and the alignment layers. The alignment direction of plurality liquid crystals is following the directional top portion due to the enhancement of liquid crystal phase transition. Enhancement of the lateral electric field between the plurality of electrodes is helpful to reduce liquid crystal phase transition time.
