摘要： A passive infra-red guidance system and method for augmenting operation of a vehicle on a roadway includes at least one forward-looking infra-red imaging sensor mounted on the vehicle in operative communication with an image processor tied into the vehicle's operational system. The system identifies the presence of one or more melting agents arranged on the roadway using thermal imaging to detect a thermal contrast between the portion(s) of the roadway surface treated with the one or more melting agents and the untreated portion(s) of the roadway surface, determines the left and right edges of the roadway using thermal imaging and determines the centerline of the travel lane in which the vehicle is travelling based on the identified melting agent(s). The system then compares the determined centerline of the travel lane with the actual position of the vehicle and identifies any adjustment needed for the vehicle's position based on the comparison.

摘要： A fluid working system such as a pump for displacing a working fluid such as hydraulic fluid or a motor using a working fluid is provided. The system may have a positive displacement machine which includes one or more working chamber with displacement means such as a cylinder with a reciprocating piston. There are also two or more fluid ports to allow the working fluid to flow into and out of the working chamber. The working fluid flows from one fluid port means to another either being forced to do so when pumped or moving the piston when functioning as an engine. The fluid working system has associated therewith a non-dead compliance volume of a material such as syntactic foam. This compliance volume acts to smooth any pressure fluctuations within the working fluid system.

摘要： The invention generally relates to a method of making a plastic aggregate, and its use to make concrete products. The aggregate is formed by providing a granulated waste plastic material, introducing the granulated waste plastic material into an extruder having a die, the die having a ratio of die nozzle open area to die land area of about 1:10 to about 1:40, and extruding the granulated waste plastic material through the extruder to generate an extruded plastic aggregate. The method can include the presence of controlled cooling, the addition of additives and treatment of the surface of the aggregate to produce a desired aggregate that can be used to make a concrete product with desired properties, such as compressive strength and weight.
