    • A method and apparatus are provided for allocating and transmitting groups of subcarriers, called tiles, between a plurality of transceiver antennas. The method includes receiving at least one downlink signal by a subscriber station transceiver through at least one of the plurality of subscriber station antennas, characterizing a received signal of at least one downlink signal over multiple subcarriers, and allocating tiles for uplink transmission through at least one of the plurality of transceiver antennas. The tiles allocation is based on the characterized received signal of the at least one downlink signal over multiple subcarriers and is based on a required power Ptx for uplink transmission compared with a maximum power P that each of the plurality of the transceiver antennas can emit.

    • Disclosed is a flue gas absorbent composition which contains a compound and water. The compound has a ring structure and includes terminal primary amine groups and substituted α-carbon atoms neighboring the amine groups. Further, a use of a solution of a compound having a ring structure and terminal amine groups as a flue gas absorbent is disclosed. The absorbent composition includes a ring-structure compound having superior absorption ability when compared to conventional absorbents, thereby exhibiting excellent properties, i.e., flue gas absorption rate improved by 50 to 100% and flue gas absorption capacity improved by 200 to 400%, as compared with currently used absorbents such as monoethanolamine (MEA) and 2-amino-2-methyl-propanol (AMP).

    • Systems and methodologies for implementing automation-resistant interactive computing services are provided herein. Function invocation mechanisms can be utilized as described herein to facilitate invocation and/or activation of one or more functions of an interactive service upon performance of an interaction falling within a predefined class of interaction with selected multimedia content. The described functionality invocation mechanisms can operate similarly to a traditional captcha image by requiring interaction that is easily understandable and performable by a human user but is prohibitively difficult for an automated program to carry out. Techniques such as masking relationships between user interaction and function invocation and varying elements of the selected multimedia content for respective accesses can be utilized to provide additional resistance to automation. Described invocation mechanisms can additionally be merged with advertising, which can optionally be targeted to a particular user(s).
