摘要： The instant invention provides a polyethylene composition and process for polymerizing the same.The polyethylene composition according to the present invention comprises the polymerization reaction of ethylene and optionally one or more α-olefin comonomers in the presence of a catalyst system, wherein said polyethylene composition comprises at least 2 or more molecular weight distributions, measured via triple detector GPC low angle laser light scattering (GPC-LALLS), described in further details hereinbelow, wherein each molecular weight distribution has a peak, and wherein measured detector response of peak 1 divided by the measured detector response of peak 2 is in the range of from 0.50 to 0.79, for example from 0.55 to 0.77.

The initial crystallinity of the resin is 60.5 to 90%, the volume average particle size is between 100 and 350 μm, the particle-size distribution is 1.0-2.1, the molecular weight is 2-7 million, the tensile breaking stress is 30 to 60 MPa, the bulk density of the resin is 0.10 to 0.50 g/cm3, the infiltration time in the solvent decalin is 0.5 to 11 min, the decalin absorption amount of the resin is 2 to 50 g of decalin per 100 g of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene resin, and the white oil absorption amount is 5 to 60 g of decalin per 100 g of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene resin. The ethylene homopolymerization is performed using a slurry polymerization process in the presence of a main catalyst and a co-catalyst.

摘要： New ethylene polymers having broad molecular weight distribution and long-chain branching, above all at high molecular weight fractions; the polymers have strain hardening equal or higher than 1.4 (at constant elongational rate of 0.5 s−1, at 150° C.), branching index g′ equal or lower than 0.9 (at Mw of 2·106 g/mol). The polymers are prepared by using a mixed catalyst system comprising a polymerization catalyst based on a late transition metal component having a tridentate ligand, and a Ziegler polymerization catalyst annealed at a temperature higher than 100° C., for a time of at least 10 minutes.
