摘要： The present disclosure provides a high resolution structured light system that is also capable of maintaining high throughput. The high resolution structured light system includes one or more image capture devices, such as a camera and/or an image sensor, a projector, and a blurring element. The projector is configured to project a binary pattern so that the projector can operate at high throughput. The binary projection pattern is subsequently filtered by the blurring element to remove high frequency components of the binary projection pattern. This filtering smoothes out sharp edges of the binary projection pattern, thereby creating a blurred projection pattern that changes gradually from the low value to the high value. This gradual change can be used by the structured light system to resolve spatial changes in the 3D profile that could not otherwise be resolved using a binary pattern.

An optical integrator is provided with a light entrance surface and exit surface (002, 003), and side surfaces (004, 005, 006, 007) that connect the entrance surface and the exit surface, and is internally filled with a light guide material having a refractive index. The light guide material contains scattering particles for scattering light that have a refractive index different from the refractive index of the light guide material. The light that has entered via the entrance surface propagates from the entrance surface side toward the exit surface while being scattered by the scattering particles in the light guide material, wherein part of the scattered light is guided to the exit surface by propagating while being confined, by internal reflection on the side surfaces, in the light detector.

摘要： Image demosaicing is described, for example, to enable raw image sensor data, where image elements have intensity values in only one of three color channels, to be converted into a color image where image elements have intensity values in three color channels. In various embodiments a trained machine learning component is used to carry out demosaicing optionally in combination with denoising. In some examples the trained machine learning system comprises a cascade of trained regression tree fields. In some examples the machine learning component has been trained using pairs of mosaiced and demosaiced images where the demosaiced images have been obtained by downscaling natural color digital images. For example, the mosaiced images are obtained from the demosaiced images by subsampling according to one of a variety of color filter array patterns.
