    • A digital camera includes: an imaging unit that receives and images a light from a subject transmitted a photographing optical system; a recognition unit that recognizes a feature region of the subject using an image obtained by imaging with the imaging unit; a detection unit that detects a size of the feature region that is recognized with the recognition unit; and a control unit that predicts a distance to the subject after a predetermined period of time according to the size of the feature region, and controls the photographing optical system so as to focus on the subject.

    • The invention provides a connector capable of reducing an amount of liquid remaining in a container when the liquid is drawn out therefrom in which the liquid is stored. A connector 1 that is disposed at containers 51 and 61 in which liquid is stored to draw out the liquid includes a connecting unit 5 having a threaded portion 17 that is screwed onto a container-side threaded portion 63 formed at the containers 51 and 61; a main body coupled so as to have a common a central axis with the connecting unit 5; and a siphon tube 9 that is secured to the main body 3 and that extends to a bottom portion of the containers 51 and 61. The connecting unit 5 and the main body 3 are connected so as to be capable of relatively rotating about the central axis.

Siphon tube (59) extending downward to the bottom of the tank is provided inside hole. (55) of liquid plug (57) an upper surface of which does not extend beyond an upper surface of the drumcap. Dual-purpose gas/liquidplug (70) is provided inside the hole (56) not having its upper surface extend beyond the upper surface of the drum cap.     • A decoder is provided which, in parallel with decoding into TOC information from sub-Q data read out from the lead-in area of an optical disk, decodes into TEXT information from sub-R-W data read out and determines whether the TEXT information is present based on the sub-R-W data.
