    • An inventive method for the manufacture of an array of M.times.N thin film actuated mirrors includes the steps of: providing an active matrix; forming a thin film sacrificial layer; depositing an elastic layer; forming an array of M .times.N conduits in the elastic layer; depositing a second thin film, a thin film electrodisplacive, a first thin film layers on top of the elastic layer, successively; patterning the first thin film, the thin film electrodisplacive and the second thin film layers into an array of M.times.N first thin film electrodes, an array of M.times.N thin film electrodisplacive members and an array of M.times.N second thin film electrodes, respectively, thereby forming an array of M.times.N semi-actuated mirror structures; patterning the elastic layer into M number of pseudo elastic members, each of the M number of pseudo elastic members having N number of bridge-shaped portions; forming a thin film protection layer completely covering the semiactuated mirror structures; removing the thin film sacrificial layer; removing the thin film protection layer; and patterning the M number of pseudo elastic members into an array of M.times.N elastic members, thereby forming the array of M.times.N thin film actuated mirrors.

    • An expression system for transforming E coll with a nucleic acid molecule of interest has an operator sequence of a cmt operon operatively linked to a promoter for the operator, and, a repressor sequence from a cym operon operatively linked to a promoter for the repressor. The expression system may have a nucleic acid molecule of interest, for example, a nucleic acid molecule that encodes a protein. Any type of E coll host cells may be transformed with the expression system. A method of producing a protein involves transforming an E coll host cell with the expression system having a nucleic acid molecule that codes for a protein, and, culturing the host cell in a culture medium under conditions in which the nucleic acid molecule will express the protein.

    • A sensing circuit is provided that senses an externally provided pressure on a panel, and includes a sensing capacitor, a first switching element, a second switching element and a third switching element; where the sensing capacitor includes a sensing electrode on the first substrate, the insulating layer and the opposite electrode; the sensing capacitor varies a capacitance based on the externally provided pressure; the first switching element is electrically connected to the sensing electrode to charge the sensing capacitor based on a first switching signal; the second switching element outputs a current based on a second switching signal and a first voltage; the third switching element is electrically connected to the sensing electrode to control the current based on the variation of the capacitance of the sensing capacitor to generate a sensing signal; and where a thickness is decreased, and an image display quality is improved.

    • A digital signal detecting apparatus for reproducing high-density digital signals which are recorded on recording media in systems for processing digital signals such as digital VTR's, comprises a rectifier for rectifying a negative voltage of the signal reproduced through a recording head, a reproducing amplifier and an equalizer into a positive voltage; a comparator for generating a rectangular waveform by comparing the output signal of the rectifier with a reference signal; a frequency multiplier for multiplying the reproduced signal which is inputted as a level-controlled state by a PLL (Phase Locked Loop) for outputting the synchronized clock signal by comparing the phase of the signal outputted from the frequency multiplier with the phase of the frequency-divided signal thereof; and a data detector for detecting the original digital data signal from the signal outputted from the comparator by utilizing the clock signal fed from the PLL, for outputting NRZ (Non-Return to Zero) digital data signal to be demodulated in the demodulator.
