    • The present invention discloses a wind power prediction method for a single wind turbine generator, comprising: extracting a plurality of data fragments, each of which has a length of L, from a historical database to determine a feature fragment core library before a current time point T, wherein L is an integer greater than or equal to one; clustering the feature fragment core library to form w cluster subsets and w cluster centers with the adoption of a clustering algorithm, wherein w is an integer greater than or equal to one; and determining power P (T+1) at a time-point T+1 to be predicted according to the w cluster centers and a center of a current time fragment, the current time fragment representing a time period from time point T-Z to time point T, wherein Z is a step number and 1≦Z≦L.

    • Techniques for performing automatic gain control (AGC) at a terminal in a wireless communication network are described. In an aspect, the terminal may use different receiver gain settings to receive different types of signals in different time intervals. The terminal may determine a receiver gain setting for each signal type and may use the receiver gain setting to receive signals of that signal type. In another aspect, the terminal may determine a receiver gain setting for a future time interval based on received power levels for peer terminals expected to transmit in that time interval. The terminal may measure received power levels of signals received from a plurality of terminals. The terminal may determine a set of terminals expected to transmit in the future time interval and may determine the receiver gain setting for the future time interval based on the measured received power levels for the set of terminals.

    • Apparatuses and methods are provided for determining electrode impedances of a bioelectric signal-monitoring/recording system that includes an amplifier, and electrodes connected between a subject and the amplifier. An example apparatus includes: a voltage source outputting a voltage signal; a switching arrangement including an input electrically connected with the voltage source for receiving the voltage signal, an output electrically connected with the amplifier and the electrodes, and switches between the input and the output; and a controller in communication with the switches for opening and closing the switches to establish signal paths between the voltage source and the output, the controller calculating the electrode impedances relative to voltage outputs of the amplifier for each signal path.
