摘要： Methods for collecting information regarding a remote connector port that is connected to a patch panel connector port by a communications cable that has at least one data communications channel and a separate control channel are provided in which a first conductor of the separate control channel of the communications cable is biased to power an integrated circuit chip that is associated with the remote connector port. A first signal is transmitted over the separate control channel of the communications cable to the integrated circuit chip associated with the remote connector port. A second signal is received from the integrated circuit chip over the separate control channel of the communications cable in response to the first signal. The second signal includes information regarding the remote connector port.

摘要： The present teachings provide for a connector including a first body and an assurance body. The first body defines a first locking member, a cavity and a slot. The cavity accepts a terminal inserted therein to a first distance. The slot extends into the first body and intersects the cavity. The first locking member is configured to prevent withdrawal of the terminal when the terminal is inserted to the first distance. The assurance body is movable between a preset and a full set position within the slot, and includes a reinforcing member and a second locking member. The full set position, the reinforcing member limits movement of the first locking member to prevent the withdrawal of the terminal, and the second locking member extends into the cavity to prevent withdrawal of the terminal independent of the first locking member.

The actuator is supported by the base member so as to be openable and closable. The actuator is selectively locatable at a contact guard position, an open position and a keep position. When the actuator is closed to the contact guard position under a state where the object is not mounted on the mount surface, the guard portion is, at least in part, located under the mount surface in the up-down direction while the guard portion hides the contact point so that the contact point is unable to be seen when the connector is viewed from the front thereof in the front-rear direction.

When the second member is pushed forward, the second female end is engaged with the first female end via the push latch, and a display window displays the mark that identifies the electrical adapter's connection state to the network.
