    • A method for calibrating a transmitter includes operating the transmitter using a first transmitter setting; obtaining, via an external reference measuring device, a transmit power reference value indicative of a first transmit power of the transmitter corresponding to the first transmitter setting, and obtaining, using an internal measuring device of the transmitter or of a receiver associated with the transmitter, a first uncalibrated transmit power measurement value corresponding to the first transmit power. The method further includes calibrating the internal measuring device using the transmit power reference value and the first uncalibrated transmit power measurement value to provide a calibrated internal measuring device, operating the transmitter using a second transmitter setting, and obtaining, using the calibrated internal measuring device, a second transmit power measurement value indicative of a second transmit power corresponding to the second transmitter setting. Lastly, the method includes obtaining self-calibration data based on the second transmitter setting and the second transmit power measurement value, and storing the self-calibration data in a calibration data structure.

    • A transceiver and a transceiver operating method are disclosed. The transceiver is coupled to a bus. The transceiver includes a receiving unit, a transmitting unit, and a detection unit. The receiving unit is coupled to the bus. The transmitting unit is coupled to the bus. The detection unit is coupled to the receiving unit and the transmitting unit respectively. The detection unit receives a first input signal, a receiver enabling signal, and a transmitter enabling signal respectively and selectively enhances the first input signal and the transmitter enabling signal according to a result of comparing the receiver enabling signal and the transmitter enabling signal. Then, the detection unit transmits the enhanced first input signal and transmitter enabling signal to the bus through the transmitting unit.

    • A reception amplifier failure detecting device includes an antenna sharing unit, a reception amplifier, a receiver, an electric field detecting section, a transmitter, a power control section, and a failure detecting section. The antenna sharing unit demultiplexes a transmission signal from a transmission system to an antenna and a reception signal from the antenna to a reception system. The reception amplifier amplifies the reception signal. The receiver receives an output signal from the reception amplifier. The electric field detecting section detects the electric field strength of a signal received by the receiver. The transmitter outputs a transmission signal to the antenna via the antenna sharing unit. The power control section controls the transmission power of the transmitter on the basis of a standard transmission value, and outputs transmission power information. The failure detecting section performs failure determination by comparing the electric field strength information with a failure detection reference value set on the basis of a standard attenuation value, a standard amplification value of the reception amplification means, and the transmission power information of the transmission means. A reception amplifier failure detecting method is also disclosed.
