The molding apparatus includes a screw-type extruder and a mold at the forward end of the extruder is used to extrusion mold a ceramic sheet from the ceramic material introduced into the extruder by way of the mold. The extrusion molding is carried out while regulating the temperature of the portion of the ceramic material passing through the mold corresponding to each of a plurality of areas (control zones) into which the mold is divided.

摘要： For the production of a multilayer pipe of thermoplastic material, in particular polyolefine, an extrusion equipment is provided, extruding at least one tube in a direction of production. A calibrating arrangement for forming a pipe of externally profiled shape is provided downstream of the extrusion equipment. The calibrating arrangement is followed by a preheater for heating to welding temperature the outer surfaces of the externally profiled shape. Furthermore, a coextruding head is provided, having an extruder for coextruding a tube around the pipe, the coextruding head having a partial vacuum connecting line for the tube and the outer surfaces to be welded together under the difference pressure between ambient pressure and partial vacuum.

摘要： A novel polyester film and a process for its preparation are disclosed wherein said film is composed of (a) liquid crystal polyester; (b) non-liquid crystal polyester; and (c) fiberizer capable of substantially fiberizing said liquid crystal polyester (a). Said polyester film shows remarkable improvements in various properties compared with the prior art polyester films: polyester film according to the present invention exhibits: (a) a high modulus of elasticity; (b) a high toughness; (c) a small content of: (1) oligomer, (2) thermal decomposition products and (3) gelation products; and (d) excellent electrical properties, so that this film can be used as a base film for electrical insulating material, capacitors, magnetic recording mediums, etc.

摘要： An improved method is provided for extruding ePTFE tube (12) for use in medical applications. A tube (12) of PTFE is extruded, preferably in an extrusion process, using counter-rotated die components (22, 26). The die component (16) is maintained at a constant temperature during processing. The resulting green tube (12) has enhanced fibrous state formation in a direction perpendicular to the direction of extrusion. The PTFE green tube (12) is then subjected to secondary operations such as stretching and expansion to yield medical product. The ePTFE tube (12) structure is defined by nodes interconnected by elongate fibrils. Both the nodes and fibrils are substantially randomly tilted with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tube (12). This particular structure yields a tube (12) which exhibits a high degree of radial tear strength useful in medical applications.

摘要： An extruder die apparatus, for the extrusion of a thermoplastic material, which die apparatus has an adjustable choke ring. The apparatus comprises an extruder housing having an axial bore for the extrusion of thermoplastic material therethrough from the inlet to the outlet of the bore, an inner die lip and an outer die lip about the bore and within the housing, the lips forming a concentric die gap passageway for the extrusion of a thermoplastic material from the one to the other end of the die, and a choke gap within said thermoplastic material flow passageway having a movably positioned choke ring. The choke ring has a plurality of individual, axially extending castellations thereon, some having oval receiving holes therein. These separate, castellated sections may be adjusted incrementally and independently by a plurality of eccentric bolts extending through the housing and the oval receiving holes, to provide selected areas within the choke gap having a restricted cross section thermoplastic material flow area. The restricted choke gap provides for an improved distribution of the thermoplastic material being extruded through the choke gap prior to being extruded through the die gap.

摘要： A large-diameter plastic pipe is made by extruding from an extruding-nozzle assembly a hollow thermoplastic strip having an outer rectangular cross section and formed with longitudinally extending outer walls and webs having inner surfaces and defining a plurality of longitudinally extending internal cells separated by the webs from one another. Substantially only the inner surfaces of the outer walls and the cell-forming webs are then cooled to size the strip and provide it with a predetermined compressive strength stable up to a predetermined critical pressure of the design strength while externally shielding external surfaces of the strip and thereby preventing cooling of same. Then the walls arc heated at external contact surfaces thereof to a temperature sufficient for welding and the strip is coiled onto a drum helically with contiguous turns of the strip engaging at the contact surfaces and axially pressing these contact surfaces together to butt weld the turns together with an axial pressure below the critical pressure of the design strength.

The cooling device cools limited areas on the surface of the mandrel. These limited areas are spaced around the circumferential of the discharge port of the resin passage.
