    • A method of combining at least two audio signals for generating an enhanced system output signal is described. The method comprises the steps of: a) measuring a sound signal at a first spatial position using a first transducer, such as a first microphone, in order to generate a first audio signal comprising a first target signal portion and a first noise signal portion, b) measuring the sound signal at a second spatial position using a second transducer, such as a second microphone, in order to generate a second audio signal comprising a second target signal portion and a second noise signal portion, c) processing the first audio signal in order to phase match and amplitude match the first target signal with the second target signal within a predetermined frequency range and generating a first processed output, d) calculating the difference between the second audio signal and the first processed output in order to generate a subtraction output, e) calculating the sum of the second audio signal and the first processed output in order to generate a summation output, f) processing the subtraction output in order to minimise a contribution from the noise signal portions to the system output signal and generating a second processed output, and g) calculating the difference between the summation output and the second processed output in order to generate the system output signal.

    • Communication unit comprising a housing (1) in which at least one transducer is placed, and on which a microphone arm (2) is suspended. The housing also has an ear hook (6) for fastening the communication unit to the head of a user. The microphone arm (2) is pivotally connected to the housing (1) by a hinge link (3,4,5) at an outer area of the housing, and so that the microphone arm (2) can be moved between a position in which it lies up against the housing (1), and a position in which it extends away from the housing. The microphone arm has a length, which in the main is less than or of the same order as the greatest extent of the housing, so that in the folded-in state the microphone arm does not project out over the circumference of the housing.

    • A jewelry registration, verification and recovery system is disclosed, which includes a coding system that summarizes the physical characteristics of any piece of jewelry. The code includes various positions, with each position corresponding to a physical characteristic, such as the type of jewelry, the weight, the color of the metal, and so forth. Each position (or category) has a predetermined number of alphanumeric digits (or values) in the code, such as one, two, and so forth. A database is established to house the codes and locations of as many pieces of jewelry as possible, with nationwide, or even worldwide entries. In the event of a loss or theft of a particular piece of jewelry, the code (and optionally the location) of the lost piece is supplied to the database, which returns each database entry having the same code as the lost piece, along with its location and an indication if it has been reported stolen or missing, optionally within a particular time window. In this manner, a pawn shop may easily and quickly verify that a particular jewelry item brought in for sale is not stolen, prior to purchasing it.
