摘要： An access point (AP) hashes its SSID/BSSID according to a hashing function H and transmits wirelessly the hashed SSID/BSSID within a physical layer frame/packet to a user station (STA). The hashed SSID/BSSID uniquely identifies the AP. In one embodiment, the hashed SSID/BSSID is transmitted within a SIGNAL field of a preamble with the frame/packet. Upon receipt, the user station recovers the hashed SSID/BSSID and compares it to an expected hashed SSID/BSSID (calculated using the same hashing function H and a desired SSID/BSSID). In response to the comparison, the user station performs one or more actions.

摘要： An aspect of the disclosure provides a wireless frame transmission method. Such a method includes duplicating a preamble in the frequency domain to form at least one duplicate preamble, each preamble having multiple fields. The method further includes puncturing at least one of the preamble fields in the preamble with a first puncturing pattern and puncturing corresponding preamble fields in the at least one duplicate preamble with at least one additional puncturing pattern. The method further includes transmitting a frame including the preamble, the at least one duplicate preamble and a payload. In some embodiments the preamble and the duplicate preambles are each at different frequencies.

Embodiments include indicating control features in an EDMG PPDU for Wireless LAN communications. The method and system may include overloading at least one bit of a Scrambler Initialization Field in the PPDU header (e.g. the PHY header) to convey control information, as well as to be used to initialise the scrambler shift register. The same header bits are thus used for both purposes. Examples of control information include a primary channel, channel width or MIMO configuration to be used in further communication.

摘要： Methods and systems that enable payload data to be spread over a number of a plurality of sub-carriers for wireless transmissions between Access Points (AP) and stations (STA) in a WLAN. The AP receives each STA's status information, and controls an amount of spreading of the payload data that can flexibly and variably takes into account the desired amount of peak power consumption, the required data rate, and the channel conditions. Based on these factors, the AP determines a number of sub-carriers for each STA that will be used to carry the spread payload data. Example embodiments can address high power peak consumption, data rate inflexibility and inefficient spectrum communication as found in conventional wireless systems.
