The filter (1) comprises an enclosure (11) comprising a filter medium including at least one constituent of: atoms, molecules, ions, and point defects in an optically pumpable solid. The at least one constituent is excitable to an initial energy state. The filter (1) further comprises a field generator (12) configured to generate an inhomogeneous electric and/or magnetic field (12A) within the enclosure (11). The filter (1) further comprises means (13) for feedthrough of a microwave signal through the enclosure (11) and an optical pump (14) configured to periodically excite the at least one constituent of the filter medium to the initial energy state in alternation with the feedthrough of the microwave signal through the enclosure (11). Thereby, intensity-dependent filtering is achieved.

摘要： A high-frequency module includes a semiconductor chip device that is mounted on an external circuit substrate by wire bonding. A switch forming section, a power amplifier forming section and a low noise amplifier forming section, realized by a group of FETs, which are active elements, are formed in the semiconductor chip device. Flat plate electrodes, which form capacitors are formed in the semiconductor chip device. Conductor wires that connect the external circuit substrate and the semiconductor chip device function as inductors. A group of passive elements that includes inductors and capacitors is formed. As a result, a high-frequency module that can be reduced in size while still obtaining the required transmission characteristic is realized.

These filters preferably function by absorbing the stop-band portion of the spectrum rather than reflecting it back to the source, which has significant advantages in many different applications. The unmatched sub-networks preferably offer additional degrees of freedom by which element values can be assigned to realize improved cutoff sharpness, stop-band rejection, or other measures of performance.

Each PCB comprises a resonator having an L-shape or a zig-zag shape in a plane of the printed circuit board and at least one signal trace. The resonator has a first dimension and a second dimension in the plane of the printed circuit board. A portion of the at least one signal trace is situated over the resonator and is separated by a distance from the resonator by a dielectric material. In some embodiments, at least part of the portion of the at least one signal trace extends in a same direction as the first dimension (in the case of an L-shaped resonator) or tracks the zig-zag shape of the resonator (in the case of a zig-zag-shaped resonator).
