    • A switch-free multi-cutting mode shearing tool includes a shearer including a first handle and a second handle pivotally connected together, a cutter blade pivoted to the first handle, a link pivoted to the second handle, and a pushing element mounted at the second handle. The cutter blade has a cutting edge protruding over a front end of the first handle, an actuation portion projecting between the first and second handles, an elongated slot located in the actuation portion and a plurality of engagement grooves inside the elongated slot. The link has a pin located at a movable end thereof and inserted into and movable along the elongated slot and selectively engageable into one of the engagement grooves, such that when the first and second handles are closed toward each other, the pushing element is forced to touch and push the actuation portion of the cutter blade.

    • A barrel assembly for a rivet gun has a barrel, a piston, a rear plug, a fluid tube, a control valve tube and a spring. The barrel has a cavity. The piston is mounted slidably in the cavity and has a rivet ejection passageway. The rear plug is mounted on a rear end of the barrel and has an assembling hole and a sliding passageway. The fluid tube is mounted detachably in the rear end of a head of the piston. The control valve tube is detachably mounted on the rear end of the fluid tube and is mounted slidably in the sliding passageway. With the fluid tube and the control valve tube, the barrel assembly efficiently prevents the high pressure air from continuously leaking out after the pin pulling action is finished.

    • A rear-retaining structure for dynamic hip screw (DHS) includes a retaining block and a positioning element. The dynamic hip screw comprises a lag screw, a sideplate, a sleeve with a higher orifice and a lower orifice, and a compression screw. The retaining block of the rear-retaining structure is attached to the sideplate of the dynamic hip screw by the positioning element. A stopper portion of the retaining block is located opposite to the lower orifice of the sleeve. The height of the highest point of the stopper portion in the lower orifice is in inverse proportion to the distance that the lag screw and the compression screw are allowed to slip back in the sleeve from an implant position to the lower orifice; namely, the higher the height of the highest point of the stopper portion is in the lower orifice, the smaller the distance for the slip back.
