摘要： Active post-power loss discharging of capacitors is provided. In an integrated circuit having a startup behavior depending on a capacitor voltage, a discharge transistor is provided to discharge the capacitor. A power-down discharger actively drives the discharge transistor after a power supply voltage drops below a threshold. The power-down discharger may include, or be coupled to, an internal capacitance that is charged when the power supply voltage is above the threshold, thereby storing sufficient energy for later driving of the discharge transistor. A diode is employed to ensure that the loss of power does not drain away the needed energy until after the discharge has been completed. One illustrative discharging method includes: sensing a condition indicative of power supply voltage loss for an integrated circuit; and actively driving the discharge transistor into a conducting state. The sensing may include driving the discharge transistor inversely to a signal from a pin.

摘要： An obstacle monitoring system includes a first transducer that obtains a first distance measurement to an obstacle using a first linear frequency modulated (“LFM”) chirp. The system further includes a second transducer, able to operate concurrently with the first transducer, that obtains a second distance measurement to the obstacle using a second LFM chirp. The second LFM chirp has an inverted slope or shifted center frequency compared to the first LFM chirp. The system further includes a controller that processes the first and second distance measurements to determine a motion-compensated distance measurement to the obstacle.

摘要： A mobile lift crane includes a carbody; a rotating bed; a boom; a moveable counterweight unit; at least one linear actuation device; and at least one arm pivotally connected at a first end to the rotating bed and at a second end to the linear actuation device. The arm and linear actuation device are connected between the rotating bed and the counterweight unit such that extension and retraction of the linear actuation device changes the position of the counterweight unit compared to the rotating bed. In one method of operation, the counterweight unit is never supported by the ground during crane pick, move and set operations other than indirectly by the ground engaging members on the carbody.

Embodiments include an illustrative channel interface module having multiple amplifier-based delay units arranged in a sequential chain to convert an analog input signal into a set of increasingly-delayed analog signals that are weighted and combined together with the analog input signal to form an equalized signal; and a symbol decision element operating on the equalized signal to obtain a sequence of symbol decisions. An interface that extracts received data from the sequence of symbol decisions. The delay units may employ one or more delay cells each having a common-source amplifier stage followed by a source follower output stage, the two stages providing approximately equal portions of the propagation delay. An enhanced gate-to-drain capacitance in the common-source amplifier may increase propagation delay while reducing bandwidth limitations.

摘要： Provided herein are biomolecular hybridization devices comprising a substrate with a permanently and covalently attached surface of functional groups and an adsorbed monolayer of unmodified, single-stranded oligonucleotides all of which are 10 to about 24 bases in length as a saturated film of constrained oligonucleotides on the surface via direct non-covalent phosphate-surface adsorptive contact of substantially all phosphate groups of each oligonucleotide. The constrained oligonucleotides are effective to dissociably hybridize to a complementary single-stranded nucleic acid with asymmetric, non-helical base pairing and without oligonucleotide dissociation from the surface of the device. Also, provided are methods for hybridizing solution-state target nucleic acids to probe nucleic acids and for identifying a nucleotide sequence to which a nucleotide-binding protein binds using the biomolecular hybridization devices.

The device may include: a heavily-doped p-type substrate; a lightly-doped n-type epitaxial layer with a heavily-doped n-type buried layer; and a semiconductor-controlled rectifier (SCR) structure within the epitaxial layer. The SCR structure includes, between a ground terminal and a pad terminal: a shallow P+ region within a moderately-doped n-type well to form an emitter-base junction of a trigger transistor; a shallow N+ region within a moderately-doped p-type well to form an emitter-base junction of a latching transistor, and a PN junction coupled to either of the shallow regions as a forward-biased series diode. To reduce capacitance, the n-type and p-type wells are separated by a lightly-doped portion of the epitaxial layer having a small lateral dimension for enhanced switching speed.

摘要： A transportable container assembly including a transportable container defining an enclosed interior space and having an opening member cooperatively engaging a mounting frame. The localized device or system communicates the position of the opening member to a remote device or system at a location remote from the transportable container. The remote device or system is capable of providing remote monitoring and control functions or actions at the transportable container depending on the communicated position of the opening member.
