    • A lens barrel includes a cam ring which is rotated about an optical axis to move a lens group in the optical axis direction via a cam groove formed on the cam ring, and a rotational ring which transfers a rotational motion to the cam ring. The rotational ring includes a rotation-transmission arm extending in the optical axis direction. The cam ring includes an engaging recess formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cam ring, and in which the rotation-transmission arm is slidably inserted to be movable in the optical axis direction, and an outer flange formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cam ring to form a slot penetrating therethrough in the optical axis direction between the outer flange and a bottom radial surface of the engaging recess so that the rotation-transmission arm is slidably fitted in the engaging recess through the slot.

    • A structure which holds a lens by fitting a lens holding member holding a lens into an outer cylindrical member. In the structure, a biasing mechanism is provided to bias the lens holding member, located within the outer cylindrical member, forward or backward in an optical axis direction. A plurality of engaging nails are arranged on one of circumferential surfaces of the lens holding member and the outer cylindrical member at substantially equal angular intervals circumferentially. A plurality of fixing holes arranged on the other of the circumferential surfaces of the lens holding member and the outer cylindrical member at substantially equal angular intervals circumferentially to be respectively engaged with the engaging nails to retain the lens holding member relative to the outer cylindrical member against a biasing force of the biasing mechanism. A tilt correcting plate is selectively mountable between one of the engaging nails and mating one of the fixing hole to tilt an axis of the lens holding member relative to an axis of the outer cylindrical member.

The light shielding structure includes at least one annular light shielding member positioned between two of the optical elements to shield harmful light, and a plurality of springs held between the two optical elements to be resiliently deformable in the optical axis direction.
