Following use of the absorbent article (10) by a wearer, the portion of the absorbent panel (40) bonded to the body panel (20,30) with weaker bond strength can be separated from the body panel (20,30). The absorbent article (10) can be reconfigured from a wear configuration into a disposal configuration such that the portion of the material forming the body panel (20,30) which has been separated from the absorbent panel (40) can be inverted over the absorbent article (10).
