    • A percussion instrument is disclosed that may include a body having a longitudinal axis extending from a butt end to a striking end thereof and at least one hole extending through the thickness of the body substantially along or through an axis that is different from the longitudinal axis; and a grasping mechanism having a first grip plate at a first end thereof and a second grip plate at a second end thereof, and at least one shaft extending through the hole. The percussion instrument may further include a compliance mechanism disposed between the first and second grip plates, enabling the first and second grip plates to move closer together in response to a compressive force applied. One or more recesses or bores may be used for a more compact design, and the at least one hole may be on an angle to accommodate different drumming styles.

    • A drum beating apparatus is provided. A base includes a bottom plate and a first post disposed on the bottom plate, and a connecting portion is arranged on the first post. An axle is coupled to the first post and rotatable around an axis of the axle. A linking assembly has corresponding first and second ends, a rod element which is connected between the first and second ends and an elastic element. The first end is pivoted to one end of the axle, the rod element is disposed through the connecting portion, and the elastic element is disposed around the rod element and located between the second end and the connecting portion. One end of a pedal is swingably coupled to one end of the bottom plate, and the other end of the pedal is co-movably connected to the axle.

    • The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a keyboard using silicon rubber and a keyboard so manufactured. The method for manufacturing the keyboard according to the present comprises the steps of forming sheets from silicon rubber, forming the sheets into a top pad with keys integrally formed thereon and a bottom pad bonded to a bottom surface of the top pad, painting the keys through a silk-screen printing method, and boding the top and bottom pads with silicon liquid rubber in a state where a flexible printed circuit board is interposed between the pads. The keyboard of the present invention is configured in such a manner that a plurality of the painted keys are arranged on a top surface of the top pad and the flexible printed circuit board is interposed between the top and bottom pads so that the flexible printed circuit board is electrically contacted to produce a desired sound from a speaker of a controller when a user strikes the keys.
