    • A low-friction bridge for a stringed musical instrument employs a roller saddle that is adapted and positioned to roll upon a race. The race includes structure to guide the roller saddle as it rolls. A musical string is seated in a circumferential groove/saddle formed in the roller saddle. As the musical string stretches or contracts the saddle rolls, and thus the musical string does not slide in the saddle. As such sliding friction is avoided in favor of rolling friction of the roller saddle rolling upon the race. One or more contact members can be biased into contact with side faces of the roller saddle.

    • A stringed musical instrument has a molded sound box and neck where the sound box is formed of between 20% to 60% carbon fibers, or other suitable fibers, and a polymeric resin or binder. The composition of materials utilized in the sound box is selected to increase stiffness and to control the tone of the instrument. The sound box includes an adjustable attachment mechanism having a pivot which is used to secure the neck to the sound box. The sound box includes a molded bracing structure having a plurality of braces and a molded bridge having a plurality of pockets which are used to enhance the structure for the sound box and provide a desired tone quality for the stringed instrument. The neck may include a molded neck insert and a molded fingerboard which are used to enhance the stiffness and stability of the neck.

The slide guitar has a marked adjustment knob adjacent a graduated scale under the headstock to visually determine with repeated mathematical accuracy the exact distance between the bottom of the strings and the top of the first fret as a point of reference.     • A reverse bridge tension configuration for a stringed instrument allows the stringed instrument to offset some of the tension felt by the bridge. For a typical stringed instrument such as a guitar, the tensioned strings are bound between the bridge and the headstock. However, the reverse bridge tension configuration loops the tensioned strings on a path that goes around the back of the instrument, through the body of the instrument, and back to the bridge. A reverse bridge is positioned on the corner of the soundboard and the back end so that the tensioned strings can loop around the back end without causing pressure damage to the outer surface of the instrument. Once the tensioned strings travel around the reverse bridge and into the body, channels are positioned within the body in order to guide the tensioned strings back to the bridge.

    • A capo, which can be manufactured at relatively low cost, comprised a top arm configured to extend across the strings of a musical instrument, with a side arm extending, in use, laterally of the instrument neck. A lower arm having one end pivotally attached to the side arm at a pivot point provides an adjustable clamping function by virtue of an adjuster mechanism. A resilient material is provided on a string facing side of the top arm that extends from the top arm onto the side arm, toward the location of the pivot point. The material includes an enlarged portion that provides a biasing force against an end of the lower arm away from the back of the neck, such that an additional metal spring or the like is not necessary.
