摘要： In order to confirm that a telephone call received by a network termination on a first connection is from a trusted party, the called party connects over a second, independent, connection 7 to a server associated with the trusted party and shares a code with the server. That code is then transmitted over the first connection and, if the connection is genuine, it is intercepted by the server which generates a message over the second connection confirming that the code has been matched. This gives the called party assurance that the call is from a party associated with the trusted server. If a rogue caller attempts to call the termination, the called party's transmission of the shared code will be routed over the caller's connection, which is not associated with the trusted server, so no match will be identified by the server and no confirmation is returned over the second connection.

摘要： Embodiments described herein provide for a fraud detection engine for detecting various types of fraud at a call center and a fraud importance engine for tailoring the fraud detection operations to relative importance of fraud events. Fraud importance engine determines which fraud events are comparative more important than others. The fraud detection engine comprises machine-learning models that consume contact data and fraud importance information for various anti-fraud processes. The fraud importance engine calculates importance scores for fraud events based on user-customized attributes, such as fraud-type or fraud activity. The fraud importance scores are used in various processes, such as model training, model selection, and selecting weights or hyper-parameters for the ML models, among others. The fraud detection engine uses the importance scores to prioritize fraud alerts for review. The fraud importance engine receives detection feedback, which contacts involved false negatives, where fraud events were undetected but should have been detected.

A manifesto with information that specifies LI of a communication service or application is created and declared by a service or application provider who, is subject to LI. The declaration takes place in that the manifesto is provided from a first LI function to other LI functions in a communication system. LI data (e.g., call data record, intercept related information and call content) is subsequently generated during LI according to the manifesto by a point of interception within the service or application. The point of interception delivers the LI data to a mediation and delivery function that then forwards it to a law enforcement agency. The law enforcement agency knows how to read and manage the LI data from the manifesto.

The classifier module splits the recorded audio files into chunks on the first communication device, the second communication device, and machine learning device in real-time. The classifier module extracts the audio features from audio files. The classifier module creates linear support vector classification model and trains linear support vector classification model using audio files. The classifier module removes invalid states from audio files and gives final state of call status reason and metadata by applying state machine rules on first communication device, second communication device, and machine learning device.
