摘要： There is provided a system and method for dynamically generated client side streaming playlists. There is provided a method comprising receiving a request to stream a video asset for playback, retrieving, from a network, a video asset playlist corresponding to the video asset and an ad campaign playlist, generating a consolidated video playlist including the video asset playlist and the ad campaign playlist, and processing the consolidated video playlist using a media playback framework to stream a plurality of video files from the network for decoding and output to a display. Discontinuity tags within the video asset playlist may be utilized as insertion points for portions of the ad campaign playlist. The consolidated video playlist may be accessed through a local HTTP web server, advantageously allowing the use of commonly installed media playback framework models such as QuickTime X to trigger adaptive bitrate support through HTTP Live Streaming.

The circuit arrangement includes a determiner configured to determine a priority value of each packet of a plurality of packets based on at least a position of a video frame in a group of pictures and a type of the video frame, the video frame or a part thereof being contained in the packet, wherein the type of video frame comprises I frame data or P frame data; and wherein the determiner is further configured to set the priority value of a packet including I frame data lower than the priority value of at least one other packet including P frame data; and a controller configured to control scheduling of the packet based on the determined priority value for a communication device in a wireless cellular network. A method of determining a priority of packet scheduling is also disclosed.

A computing device determines, based on sizes of one or more of the prediction units, whether to perform a smoothing operation on samples in a transition zone of the prediction block. The transition zone is located at a boundary between samples of the prediction block associated with different prediction units. If the computing device makes the determination to perform the smoothing operation, the smoothing operation is performed to smooth samples of the prediction block in the transition zone.

摘要： Multi-threaded implementations of deblock filtering improve encoding and/or decoding efficiency. For example, a video encoder or decoder partitions a video picture into multiple segments. The encoder/decoder selects between multiple different patterns for splitting operations of deblock filtering into multiple passes. The encoder/decoder organizes the deblock filtering as multiple tasks, where a given task includes the operations of one of the passes for one of the segments. The encoder/decoder then performs the tasks with multiple threads. The performance of the tasks is constrained by task dependencies which, in general, are based at least in part on which lines of the picture are in the respective segments and which deblock filtering operations are in the respective passes. The task dependencies can include a cross-pass, cross-segment dependency between a given pass of a given segment and an adjacent pass of an adjacent segment.

The deblocking filter is configured to bypass the deblocking filter processing, if the magnitude of the internal processing loads is bigger than a threshold value and a processing subject block of the frame is decoded using inter-view prediction.
